Samsung Galaxy S3: How to Install and Use Facebook For Android Applications

Nowadays social networking has become a need for many people, ranging from just looking for new friends up to use it for business purposes. Many social networking available today, one of the most popular is Facebook. Due to this reason, this time almost all smartphone comes with pre-installed Facebook app, but not with the Galaxy SIII. If you want to use Facebook apps on Galaxy SIII then you have to install it by yourself.

To install the Facebook app you must have an internet connection, either through Wi-Fi or mobile data. In addition, you also must have a google account to be able to access the Play Store and download the application you want.

How to install Facebook apps?
As written on the forum at simplydroid.com, here are the steps you need to do to install this app on your phone:
  1. Go to Apps through Galaxy SIII Home screen.
  2. Scroll to Play Store, then tap on it.
  3. Here you can search for Facebook app by tap on Search or magnifier icon then type Facebook on the search box.
  4. Tap on Search button located on the bottom right corner of the screen to start the search.
  5. In result page, select Facebook for Android.
  6. Tap on the Install button.
  7. Tap on Accept&download button.
  8. Wait until the download is complete.
  9. Finish. Now Facebook apps have installed in your phone.

How to setup and use Facebook apps?
Once you finish installing this app, now you can start using it. Ensure you have an internet connection when you access this application. Here are the steps to setup and use this apps:
  1. Go to Apps through Galaxy SIII Home screen.
  2. Scroll to a Facebook icon, then tap on it.
  3. If you do not have a Facebook account, then you can sign up by filling out some necessary information, such as name, email, password, etc.. Then Tap on Sign Up button.
  4. If you already have a Facebook account, you will be asked to log in by entering your username and password.
  5. Well, now you have to be at Facebook page and you can begin to write a status, uploading pictures, etc..

It's so easy and simple to do, right? Now with Facebook apps installed on your phone, you can stay keep in touch with your friends and maybe you can start your online business by using Facebook to get online customers.   4. Everything work to install Facebook,I already have FB on computer at home so didn't start a new account. My phone shows my cell number for FB login and says you will receive text to confirm account yet for days never got code to confirm. Even sent resend text button? Please help

      Thanks for coming.
      Try to clear cache and data of the Facebook app by going to Settings> Application Manager> find Facebook app then tap it> tap the Clear cache button and then followed by tapping the Clear data button. Once you done the step, try to open your Facebook app, then login using your email and password you used to login to the Facebook on your computer.

  5. I have installed, used, then uninstalled and REINSTALLED to try & fix this problem. I cannot tag my friends names in any posts or comments (just pics) anymore and I need to figure out how to. Can you help me?

      Thanks for coming.
      I just duplicated your issue and try to tag my friend name in the status update and comment. Use the @ before the friend name (eg. type @elypse) or type the first letter of the friend name using the capital letter at least 5 letters (eg. type Elypse) and you should see the drop down option of the most likely name and then tap the one you wish to tag with.

  6. Can't find facebook widget. Have uninstalled and reinstalled Facebook. However still no wiget

  7. Same, Facebook is installed on my phone and I have an icon for it but when I'm on a photo and tap on share Facebook doesn't come up. What's app does and that was installed same way FB was 😦
