Hi Jakson0100,
ReplyDeleteThanks to tell me useful information. I really appreciate it. Hope you enjoy your day :)
That is a waste of time. Why cant we just save them from the app. It seems that the android is not as good as I expected it to be.
ReplyDeleteHi There,
DeleteThanks for visiting my blog and leave your thoughts here. Facebook app does not allow to save or download the picture, you can do this only with online Facebook or in other words you need to go to Facebook page through the browser then save the picture you want. And I respect your opinion about Android, it's all about the experience and impression, it's relative and not the same in every person.
So, Thanks and be back again soon :)
One step to save pic from facebook app.
DeleteDownload photo editor by Aviary, from Google play and install which is free.
Than just go to Facebook app, choose picture, click right, go to menu and tap on share.
You will get save to photo editor option, just click and save.
after just look at the gallery, you will find it there too.
Hi abdullah khan,
DeleteThanks for coming here and share your useful information to us, I really appreciate it.
Have a nice day and may God always bless you :)
I have the S3. Brand New. but i can't download any pictures from facebook. i am online (Don't even have the app) but no pop up menu comes up no matter how long i hold it down for, i have also tried different pictures to see if that helps, still no luck. Any suggestions would be a GREAT help? :)
DeleteHi Ryah Brajkovich,
DeleteThanks for coming and I'm so sorry for the late answer.
I have done some investigations and I found that I couldn't save image from Facebook via browser apps in Android 4.3 or above (I tried in on my S4 and S5) but I could do so in Android 4.1 Jelly Bean (Galaxy Tab 2).
Given to that fact, if you want to be able to save image from Facebook then you have to install Facebook app in your S3 and then you can save image from Facebook app by using the following steps:
1. Open Facebook app.
2. Tap the picture to view it in full screen.
3. Tap the Menu key and then select "Save photo".
4. The picture will be downloaded and can be viewed in the "Facebook" album in Gallery app.
I knew I could save pics through a browser but I want to save it from the app.
ReplyDeleteHi Evan,
DeleteI'm so happy to read your comment here.
From that I know that we can only save picture from Facebook by using the Facebook online or in other words through a browser, not from the app directly. But if you know how to save a picture from the app, I will really appreciate if you please to share the tips here, so all readers of this blog would know and use it.
Thanks :)
I can save it from app. I just have to select a photo and share it to messaging in the options. From there I can send it to myself and save attachment to gallery. Only problem is it usually compresses it
DeleteHi Buddy,
DeleteThanks to share your thought here.
Yes, you're right. You are able to share Facebook picture from apps, either via MMS or share it to another social media. But, you can't save the picture directly to your phone. You can do this if you access Facebook page through the browser.
However, thanks again :)
When I try to save the picture my internet stops working. Anyone know why?
ReplyDeleteHi There,
DeleteWhat browser are you using? Stock browser or else?
If you use the stock browser, you may want to try another browser. It will show you if the problem is the phone or the browser.
Then check are you in low or weak signal area or not. Low signal may cause the internet can't work well or even stop anymore.
Hope it help you :)
Are you ever helpful and sweet! ;)
ReplyDeleteHi There,
DeleteThanks for visiting my blog and leave your comment here.

Hi
ReplyDeleteA pop up window doesn't appear when I long press the image
Hi There,
DeleteThanks for write me a comment.
Previously I want to know from where you accessing Facebook page? From what I know, Facebook only allow their user to save the picture if they use Facebook online or in the other words you should access them through browser, not from the app directly.
Hope it helps :)
Hey .. in my phone it dosnt showing save photo .. what to do now? :s
ReplyDeleteHi Malu Khan,
DeleteThanks for the visit and comment.
As I mentioned above in almost all comments in this article, Facebook only allow their user to save the picture if they access the Facebook page through the browser, not from the app directly. So, try the steps as directed using your phone's browser.
Hope it helps :)
I'm still not able to download through. The browser. I followed the directions
ReplyDeleteHi Shakara Thompson,
DeleteThanks for stopping and leave your comment here.
What's make you unable to download? Can't find save option or else? And have you ever tried to use another browser to save the picture? At least it will tell you whether the problem is your browser or not. And also check your signal, low signal may cause the internet can't work well.
Hope it helps :)
I'm logging into to facebook through my internet explorer browser on my Samsung III phone and following the instructions but a pop up to save is not coming up. I'm holding down on the picture and nothing is happening. Do you have any more suggestions?
ReplyDeleteHi There,
DeleteHere I list another possible ways you can do:
1. Try to use another browser. This will tell you whether the problem is the browser or not.
2. Full screen the image then screenshot it. If you don't know how to do this, check our url here:http://inside-galaxy.blogspot.com/2013/03/how-to-take-screenshot-on-samsung.html
3. Tap the picture to enlarge it, then press the Menu key. On pop up menu select Share, then select Messaging. Now text it to yourself as a MMS. Once you receive the MMS, you can save the picture. If you don't know how to do this, check our url here:http://inside-galaxy.blogspot.com/2013/04/samsung-galaxy-s3-how-to-save-mms.html
Hope it helps :)
I agree you should be able to save a pic without having to go through the Internet, you should be able to just hold down on the pic and save it or make it background pic or assign to contact.... no hassle! I am very disappointed
ReplyDeleteHi There,
DeleteThanks for coming and leave your comment here.
I will really appreciate if you wish to share your useful tips to us here.
Have a nice day :)
I just got the galaxys4 and it won't let me save fb images. Only a link. I am not using a fb app. I can save images from the web but not fb. I was able to dovthis easily on the htc inspire I had.
ReplyDeleteHi Ann,
DeleteI really appreciate your willing to share your experience here. Each device does have its advantages and disadvantages. From what I know, Facebook is only allowing their users to be able to save the pictures via Facebook online (if you access it through the browser), I don't know if HTC can save the pictures directly through the apps. Another option available if you use apps, you can send the picture to yourself via mms or another social media then save the picture to your phone.
However, thanks again and I wish you a nice day :)
I totally just figured it out. Click on the photo to where it just opens the picture and not the entire news feed. Click on view full size. THEN press and hold pic. Then you will get save image option. I don't use an app so not sure if it will work the same but if you are logged in using your browzer it works!
ReplyDeleteHi Ann,
DeleteThanks again to write a useful information here.
You're right, you can find save image option if you logged in to your Facebook account through the browser.
I have a problem on my S3 everytime I long press a image it won't give me the option to save it
ReplyDeleteHi Valentin PR,
DeleteThanks for leave your thought here.
What's the browser you use to access Facebook page? Another way try to do as Ann Nicole said in her comment right above you, while you on Facebook online, click on view full size then press and hold the picture to get save picture option.
Hope it helps :)
There is an easy way to save a FB picture from the FB app. All you have to do is touch the image and it open up. Then if your screenshot is set just swipe your hand over the picture and it will save it in gallery under screenshot. You can also just hold both the power and home button at the same time and it will take a screenshot. Hope this helps.
ReplyDeleteHi Bruce,
DeleteI really appreciate your willing to share your useful knowledge and experience here. Yes, you right, you can screenshot or share the picture through message or another social media, but to get the "Save As" option you need to access the Facebook page through web browser.
Whatever, I really love the one like you who are gladly shared useful things with another. May God always bless you :)
Very Simple just open the photo and see bottom view full size just click ok there you will see the only photo there press then it will pop up save photo,,,
ReplyDeleteBut you should open you facebook in Explorer Any xp: google Chrome etc...

I'm hoping someone can help. When taking pictures with my galaxy s3 sometimes I get a grey box in my gallery not the picture. Does anyone know wht this happens and how can I fix it. Please help. Thanks Stephanie
ReplyDeleteHi Stephanie Mills,
DeleteThanks for coming.
Did you made any changes before you're encountering this problem? Also, does the grey box will turn as a picture or it will stay that way?
I have the same problem, and when i rotate my phone the grey box rotates as well. I don't know what I did to make this happen, but have not made any changes to the phone or pictures.
DeleteHi Kimberly,
DeleteThanks for coming and so sorry for late answer.
Where you save your photo which have the grey box? In the phone memory or SD card? Have you ever tried to open the picture in PC? Did the grey box still there?
I have the Samsung Galaxy s3 with AT&T but it won't let me save photos or download photos from Google Images, help.
ReplyDeleteHi Jasmine Cutter,
DeleteThanks for coming.
What browser are you using now? The stock browser or else? If you use the stock browser then long tap on the image then on pop up menu select Save image.
Hope this helps :)
Hi! I have problem regarding to pics with my S3. When i try to download them they download with the name photo bin or something and are not the full quality but rather blurred and unclear. how can i fix this
ReplyDeleteHi Kastriot Suka,
DeleteThanks for coming and also so sorry for late answer.
What the app are you using to download the picture? Did all the picture you have downloaded are blurred and unclear, or this problem happens after you did some changes on your phone? Another way, you might want to use another third-party app called Fix Photo Blur app to correct them. Here's the link:https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rawzor.fixphotoblur&hl=en
Hope this helps :)
Nothing pops out when I tried to long press the picture that I want to save in facebook even though I use the online facebook
ReplyDeleteHi Breana Grayson,
DeleteThanks for coming.
What the browser app are you using to open your Facebook account? I've just tried to duplicate this problem using the stock Browser app and when I long press in certain photo on my Facebook account I get the option to save the image.
Hope this helps :)

ReplyDeleteHi Carly X,
DeleteThanks for coming.
Have you ever tried to see the picture in full size by tapping the diagonal two-way arrow icon in the upper right corner of the picture? Another way, you can also try to zoom the picture by pinching the screen.
Hope this helps :)
I have a galaxy s3 I'm trying to resync my facebook photo albums to my gallery help?!?
ReplyDeleteHi Harley Quinn,
DeleteThanks for coming and I'm so sorry for so late answer.
FYI, some insiders have told me that they couldn't sync their FB photos to the Gallery app due to login error. Thus, if you're also encountering login error while resync your FB photos to Gallery app, try performing reset app preferences and then restart your phone. If you don't know how to reset app preferences, use the following steps:
1. Go to settings.
2. Tap "More" tab.
3. Tap "Application manager".
4. Tap the Menu key and then select "Reset app preferences".
5. Tap "Reset apps" button. This will re-enable all disabled apps, re-enable app notifications, reset default apps, reset background data restrictions and clear any permission restrictions.
6. Once done, restart your phone and then try to resync your FB photos to Gallery app.
