Samsung Galaxy S3: How to Turn On of Off Flight Mode

As we know Samsung Galaxy SIII comes with several modes that will allow you to use it in any condition and place, even on the place that usually not allowed to use the phone such as while you are driving a car or on a plane.

By enabling driving mode on your Galaxy SIII, you will be possible to continue to use your phone while driving without having to jeopardize your safety. Driving mode will inform you of incoming calls and incoming messages by read it out loud so you do not have to look at your phone while driving.

In addition to driving mode, you can also use flight mode on this phone. This mode will allow you to be able to keep your phone on while you on a plane. This mode will turn off all wireless signall on this phone for safe use in areas where radio transmitters are not allowed. It means that you can not make a calls, send messages, use the FM radio, Bluetooth or use the internet connection. But, you can still use your phone to listen to music, playing games, watch videos or anything else except those mentioned above.


How to enable Flight mode?
As written on support.bell.ca, below are the steps you need to do:
  1. Tap on Apps from the Home screen.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Tap on More ...
  4. On the Flight mode status information, tick the box next to Flight mode option to enable it.
  5. Tap OK to confirm your changes.
  6. Done.

How to disable Flight mode?
From the same source, if you want to disable flight mode that you have previously enabled on your phone, here are the steps:
  1. Tap on Apps from the Home screen.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Tap on More ...
  4. On the Flight status information mode, remove the tick on the box next to Flight mode option to disable it.
  5. Tap OK to confirm your changes.
  6. Done.

Well, it's so simple, right? Once you know how to turn on or turn off flight mode on your phone, now you can still use your phone while flying or when you are in an area where the transmitted radio use is prohibited.   1. Much easier way to use flight mode: hold "on" button for two seconds while phone is active, and you will be given a list of options, including powering off, restarting and turning flight mode on and off. much more convenient.
