Samsung Galaxy S3: How to Enable or Disable Call Waiting Feature

If you do not want to miss an important incoming call when your telephone number is busy or is not active, then you can activate call forwarding feature on your phone. This feature will allow you to divert incoming calls to another phone number when your primary phone number can not be reached.

    1. Hi Steffine,
I'm so sorry for late answer.
From what I've read on many forums, some of carrier was disabled advanced call setting on their phone. Due to this reason you may have not to be able to set call waiting to your phone. But, you can answer more than one incoming calls manually. Here I outline some point for you:
To answer a call while you on call:
      1. Tap and slide green button to the right to answer another call.
      2. Tap Putting "Number" on hold to put the first incoming call on hold. Or tap Ending call with "Number" to end the first call.
      3. To switch between the first and second calls, tap Swap.
It will places the current call on hold and then activates the previous call. The active call will appear in a green box. Tap Swap again to switch back.

To end a call on hold:
      1. Tap to disconnect the active call.
      2. The call on hold will now become the active call. Tap
      to end the call.

However, thanks for coming and leave your comment hear.
      Hope it helps :)

      Sorry for late answer.
You may want to try to use hands free headset then set automatically answer the call. But, i still don't know whether it will work on call waiting or not. Hope anybody here can share their experience about it to help you.

  4. I've never had any success with the call waiting on my phone. I usually end up hanging up on both calls and sounding like an idiot when I try to explain that I don't know how to use my phone. Can't they just give you the option of "hang up on current call and take call waiting" , "put current call on hold and take call waiting" or "ignore call waiting"?

    1. Hi Kim Harding,
Thanks for coming and I'm so sorry for so late answer.
Do you use GSM or CDMA network? I've ever read in XDA-developer forum that call waiting doesn't work on CDMA network. My phone is using GSM network, and the call waiting feature works well. I'm able to hold the current call to accept the second call or hold the second call to continue my first call or merge all calls.

    1. Hi Buddy,
      Thanks for coming.
FYI. I've read your second comments in other irrelevant post, so I quote your comment here:
"I am try to do my s3. As call wetting but wen ever i tick on the box its showing unexpected network err .Pls some one help me out of this setting. thank you so mach."
From what I've known, when you unable to turn on call waiting via settings menu, then you can try to turn it on by using the star codes(it may differs on each provider). So, you can try to call your provider to ask them the star codes to enable call waiting or you can ask them to enable call waiting settings in your phone manually.
      Hope it helps :)
