    1. Hi Geyner Bermudez,
      Thanks for coming.
From what I've known, the image you see is a part of the MP3 ID tag. If there is no Artwork or lyrics, the player uses default one. That's why you may have seen the same image for multiple songs. So, try to put the cover image on the music folder in order to display the different image on each songs or you can also deleting all the image you don't want and only leave the cover image, then go to the Settings> Applications Manager> Media Storage, cleared the cache there and restart the phone.

Another way, you may want to try third-party app, such as Cover art downloader that will uses multiple online databases to automatically fill in the missing gaps in your music players cover art. Here's the link:https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.birbeck.android.coverart&hl=en

Finally, let me know if on of these tips is works for you :)

What the app do you use to download the music? If you use the stock Browser app to do so, you can change the default storage option to the SD card by following the step below:
      1. Open the stock Browser app.
      2. Tap the Menu key then select Settings.
      3. Tap Advanced.
      4. Tap "Default storage" and then choose Memory card. This will set the Browser to save the downloaded file in the Download folder on your SD card.
      Hope this helps :)

AFAIK, there's no option in the stock music player app to do so. You can use the file manager app to change the song titles, but it'll be much more easier if you use iTag app. This app will allow you to change the music file information, including with the song title and artist. Did you mean how to make certain song can't be played by the Music player app without having to delete them? If so, you just need to rename and add ".nomedia" behind the music file name. You can do so through My file app or another third party file manager app (eg. ES File Explorer app). For example: rename yoursongname.mp3 became yoursongname.mp3.nomedia
      Hope this helps :)

Also, I'm so sorry to say that you can only do so through the third party file manager apps (eg. ES File Explorer app or ASTRO File Manager app). Previously, I've tried using ES File Explorer app and it works. While, if you rename the music file through My File app, then this app will keep .mp3 as the extension in the end of the music file name.

Yep, you can do so either by creating new playlist based from the genre through Music Player app or grouping the music files manually into the new folder based from the genre through My File app or another third-party File Manager app as when you move another files to the new folder.
If you don't know how to create new playlist, then you can visit our post about it here:http://inside-galaxy.blogspot.com/2013/05/samsung-galaxy-s3-how-to-create-playlist.html
Once you've done, later you can listen to the music from the Playlists tab or from the Folders tab in the Music Player app.

I did some researches too and I find lot of users experienced the same issue with you no matter what the Android version they use. But, unfortunately there's still no exact fix for this problem. I personally don't know what the causes of this problem. However, you can tweak the problem by using Google Play Music and create your playlist there, or you can use the third-party app to backup your playlist and use it to restore the playlist when they disappear.

    1. Hi Rachel Lara,
      Thanks for coming.
If you're still using the Android 4.0, you can do so by opening the Music player app> tap Playlists tab and select the desired playlist you wish to send with email> tap the Menu key then select "Share via"> tap "Email"> check the box next to "Select all" option to select all songs in the selected playlist> tap Share/Done button to attach all of them in the email message> Now, type the email recipient, subject and the message if necessary and then send the email message.
Unfortunately, in Android Jelly Bean, the "Share via" option in Music player app is removed so if you wants to share all of the songs in certain playlist, you should attach them one by one in the Email app.
FYI, I've tried to find any app which has the ability to do so, but I can't find any.

I've tried to assign different image in each song under the same album using iTag app. The result: when I viewed them in the Music Player app, all song under the same album will display the same image which is set as album's default coverart. So, I can conclude that you can't do so unless you separate that song in the different album and then assign the different coverart for the song.

Indeed, this issue often occurs, even I ever experience it by myself. Suddenly, some cover arts was changed when I got some music files from my friend through Bluetooth. Anyway, if you don't want to use third-party app, try to clear cache and data of the Media storage by going to Settings> tap "More" tab> tap "Application manager"> swipe to the "All" screen> scroll down to find "Media storage", then tap it> tap "Clear cache" button and "Clear data" button then restart the phone. FYI, this won't delete your music files, this will only reset the Music player app, but if you're worried you can backup your media files first (picture, music and video) before you do this step. I've just tried it in my phone, I don't lose any file and I get the original cover art back in my music files.

Is the ringtone your own music file, not the stock one? If so, try to locate the file using third-party File manager app (eg: ES File explorer or Astro File manager) and then rename the file name and put .nomedia behind the file name. For instance: rename your_ringtone_name.mp3 become your_ringtone_name.mp3.nomedia
.nomedia extension will prevent media player to scan this file, or in other word this file will no longer displayed in your Music Player app but you don't need to delete it.

There are 3 repeat modes available:
      1. Repeat the currently playing song. The icon will show this mode with the number 1 with two curve arrows around it.
      2. Play the currently playing song until the last song in the music list. The icon will show this mode with the letter A above the right arrow.
      3. Play the currently playing song until the last song in the music list and then repeat from the first song and so on. The icon will show this mode with the letter A with two curve arrows around it.

      1. Go to Apps through Home screen.

So, can I conclude that your music files are still in your phone but the Music player app doesn't load them?
If that so, try the following actions to try fixing your issue:
      1. Try restarting your phone. Some issues can be fixed by restarting the phone.
      2. Try investigating whether the name of the folder where you save the music files ends with .nomedia. If yes, rename the folder and remove .nomedia from the folder name.
      3. Try investigating whether within the folder where you save the music files contains with .nomedia file. If any, delete the .nomedia file.

As a note, .nomedia file will prevent media player to scan the files within the folder so that it may cause the files are not displayed in the media player.

Seems that your phone had been updated to Android 4.4 Kitkat.
FYI, the full screen album cover art in the lock screen while playing music is a default feature in Android 4.4 Kitkat thus you can't remove it or change it back to the small music control widget as long as you use the default lock screen. It'll continue be displayed in your lock screen when you play music regardless your screen lock method.

If you don't mind using third-party apps, there are some lock screen apps in the Play Store (I've tried Cover Lock Screen (beta) app). This app lets you display or hide the music stuff in your lock screen.

  31. Hello, I've been searching for solutions but am unable to find any, and stumbled across this site. I really need help with 2 problems and I hope you don't mind me being so long-winded.
    1. The other day, my phone "glitched", meaning that my phone seemed perfectly normal, until I opened my Gallery, where all my albums and pictures were gone, but still in My Files. I somehow managed to move all my pictures and albums back into Gallery when I accidentally deleted one album when trying to navigate through My Files, and I really want to recover that album as I was in the middle of making backup for it. The pictures in the albums have also had their order messed up, they used to be in Newest to Oldest order, but they are now in random order. I want to fix the problem of recovering my accidentally deleted album first as the random order problem is kind of minor compared to it.
    2. Today, when I opened my Music player, I found all my songs there, but no playlists. Like the Gallery problem, my playlists were found in a folder in My Files called Playlists, and all the playlists were named as " *playlistname*.pla". Unlike the pictures, I was unable to transfer back my playlists, or open the .pla files (an message "No apps can perform this action." would appear when I tap the file). When I connect my phone to my laptop, the playlists do not appear in the said folder, only a file called Quick list.pla, which is empty. I really want to recover my playlists as I cannot remember the order of the songs and do not want to remake all 7 of my playlists.
I really hope that anyone else has solutions to my problems and once again I'm sorry for being long-winded.
