    1. Hi Buddy,
      Thanks for coming.
When the blocked number calls you, then the phone will cut off the calls and if you enable voice mail then it will goes straight to there. But, if you want to set your own greeting to the blocked number who want to call you or you don't want they leave you voice messages, then try to use YouMail apps that you can get trough the Play Store.
      Hope this helps :)

      Thanks for coming.
If you believe that the phone has no settings to reject the contact, either in the reject list or another block call apps, then you might have to consider to call your provider to ask them whether you should do some step or settings to fix your problem.
      Hope this helps :)

    1. Hi Carla Brown,
      Thanks for coming.
Given to your problem, you might have to call your provider to ask them whether you should do some settings to fix your problem because normally once you removed the contact from the reject list, then the number will be unblocked and be able to call you.

Yes, you can. The reject list only reject the calls not the messages. If you want to block certain number and/or unknown number to not sending you a message, then you can either register the contacts number as spam or block unknown sender. To see the complete steps, kindly visit our post about register number as spam here:http://inside-galaxy.blogspot.com/2013/07/samsung-galaxy-s3-how-to-block-unwanted.html and step to block unknown number here:http://inside-galaxy.blogspot.com/2013/07/samsung-galaxy-s3-how-to-block-messages.html

Try to clear them first by going to Phone app> tap the Menu key> tap Call settings> tap Call rejection> tap Auto reject list> delete all or only the required contacts on this list here. Once you finish, try to add another contact to the reject list then see whether it helps :)

I have blocked a number on my phone listed as "private" now whenever anyone calls from a number private (different than unknown) it goes straight to voicemail. I want to un-reject list this number but the number doesnt exist anywhere, even when I pull it up on the call log it doesnt have an option to remove it from the reject list and its also not in contacts or the reject list numbers...what do I do??

    1. Hi Shira,
      Thanks for coming.
Have you ever tried to uncheck the Unknown option under the Auto reject list option. Here's the steps:
      1. Open Phone app.
      2. Tap the Menu key then select Call settings.
      3. Tap Auto reject list.
      4. Uncheck the checkbox next to "Unknown" option.

I know that the private number and unknown number are different, but it's not hurt if you try this step then see whether it helps. Ohh, you can also try to call your network provider to ask them whether you should do some settings to allow your number accepting the calls from private numbers.
      Hope this helps :)

  8. I have marked a number as spam because I do not want to receive any texts or phone calls. Will this person realize I am not getting their texts? Will they get a message saying they have been blocked? Also, what will happen when they call? Will it just go to voice mail or will it be rejected? Thanks!

    1. Hi KC,
      Thanks for coming.
Did you mean about "Register number as spam" under the stock Messaging app settings? If so, they will not get any notification that their message is blocked and the message will be saved under Spam folder.
While, if you add certain number in the reject list, the call will go to the voice mail if you already set voice mail in the phone, if not the calls will be rejected.
Or, you might want to use another third-party app, such as Youmail app which will allow you to block text and call for certain number, set to reject or push them to the voice mail, set your own greetings when they call you, etc.
      Hope this helps :)

    1. Hi Joanna Russell,

Just remove the check mark in the box next to "Unknown" option without having to tap Delete button. When the box is unchecked then your phone should be able to receive calls from the unknown numbers.
      Hope this helps :)

  11. Hello. I have an S4 and the reject call feature for a contact appears to be working fine. The problem I have is that a particular blocked number frequently calls and I see it on my call logs as a rejected call. Is there a way to remove a number from ever showing up on that log? Thank you.

    1. Hi 1emailer,
      Thanks for coming.
Unfortunately, there's no option to do so in the stock reject call feature. If you don't mind, you can try an app called Extreme call blocker. This app has the option to automatically delete all blocked calls from your phone's call log. Here's the link:https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.greythinker.punchback&hl=en
      Hope this helps :)

    1. Hi Paula Cooper,
      Thanks for coming.
FYI, the reject list will only reject the calls, not texts. If you add certain number/contact to your reject list, this will reject the calls and you still get the call logs which will labelled as rejected. And, if you want to block text from certain contact, you can see the detail steps here:http://inside-galaxy.blogspot.com/2013/07/samsung-galaxy-s3-how-to-block-unwanted.html
Or, if you want to block texts from unknown number, you can see the detail steps here:http://inside-galaxy.blogspot.com/2013/07/samsung-galaxy-s3-how-to-block-messages.html
      Hope this helps :)

      Thanks for coming.
FYI, this feature only block calls from contacts you've entered into reject list. They still can send you text message. If you want to block their text messages, you can add them to the spam number in Messaging app. If you don't know how to do so, feel free to visit our post about it here:http://inside-galaxy.blogspot.com/2013/07/samsung-galaxy-s3-how-to-block-unwanted.html

    1. Hi Chrissie Taft,
      Thanks for coming.
So, did you mean you want to delete a number from the reject list? If so, the answer is, yes, you can. In addition to remove a contact from reject list through the Contacts app(you can see the steps in this article), you can also do so through the Phone app. First, open Phone app> tap the Menu key then select "Call settings"> tap "Call rejection"> tap "Auto reject list", all contacts you've added to the reject list will be listed here> long tap the required contact you wish to delete and then on pop up menu select "Delete".

    1. Hi Steve Pierce,
      Thanks for coming.
CMIIW, by default you're only allowed to add 100 contacts into the reject call list. Other way, you may have try to enable "Unknown" option under reject call menu so that your phone will reject all incoming calls from contacts you have not been added to your Contacts app, or you can use third-party Call blocker app that will allow you to block more than 100 contacts(e.g: Extreme Call Blocker app).

If you have difficulty to find the contact you've added to the reject list, you can find them by opening Phone app> tap the Menu key and then select "Call settings'> tap "Call rejection"> tap "Auto reject list". All contacts you've added to the reject list will be displayed here. From here, you can delete the required contact from the reject list.
