How to edit email setting?
Before you do this, make sure you're connected to internet and ensure the new setting is correct and work well when you use it on your PC. As written on bell.ca, you can change the required email setting by following the steps listed below:
- Go to Apps through Home screen.
- Scroll to Email, then tap on it.
- Tap the Menu key.
- On pop up menu select Settings.
- Here you will see a list of your added email account, then tap the required account that you wish to change.
- Tap Outgoing settings. Due to it's the most common settings to change.
- Change the SMTP server name with the new ones.
- Tap Port field and edit the port number with the new ones.
- Tap Hide keyboard key on virtual keyboard.
- Tap Done button to save your changes.
- Finish. Now your selected email account setting has been change.
By knowing on how to do this, now you can use it as a solution when you experiencing problem sending or receiving email message on your phone. To obtain the correct setting for your email account, you can contact your email provider due to when you enter the wrong settings on your account will make your phone can't sending or receieving email message. It seems there is no way of changing the incoming mail settings on a Galaxy S3. I have changed email providers and merely want to edit my mail settings but for some crazy reason this doesnt seem possible? The only option is deleting the account but that deletes all the associated emails as well??? any ideas?

Make sure while in settings you have selected the email account settings, not the General settings.
Delete your account and re install with other (if using aol etc) worked perfectly

That seems a good idea to do. In certain case, remove and add the account again sometimes helps to fix some problems with email and other email-related apps.

Did you made any changes before you encountered this problem? Is this a new email or not?
I really need help. I set up my Galaxy s3 as a different account then the one I normally use and then they disabled it. I would like to sign in on my other gmail account, but I don't know how. I would love to be able to sign in so I can update apps and not get notifications saying I need to sign in when I can't. Please help!

Have you ever tried to switch between your Gmail account. You can do so by tapping the Account email name box in the right of the Email icon, and then select the email account you wish to use. Or if you wish to use the certain Google account to download apps on Play Store app, then try to clear cache and data of the Play Store through the Settings> Application manager> swipe to All screen> Find Google Play Store, then tap it> tap Clear cache button and Clear data button. Once you done the step, now try to open Play Store, here you will be asked to choose which the Google account you wish to use.
