ReplyDeleteHi There,
DeleteThanks for leave your thought here.
I will really appreciate if you willing to share your useful tips here :)
Is it possible to delete the unwanted languages. E.G. When I want to enter : above letter c I have to choose from four characters with three from languages I don't want. Thank you
ReplyDeleteHi Noel Black,
DeleteThanks for coming.
CMIIW, by default, when you long tap a particular letter key (e.g: letter "c") you'll be shown with some of extra characters (e.g: "ć" or "č") thus if you only want to enter the regular "c" you can do so simply by single tapping the letter "c".
Thanks for your response, however is not the letter c that I'm trying to enter, it is the : the colon above it. The same for $ above S, ! above d etc. Am I correct in thinking they are associated with the other non English languages, and if yes can I delete them. The ideal is long taping the letter m to get the ?

Hi Noel Black,
DeleteThanks for coming back.
Well, I finally got it. Also, I'm sorry if I have misunderstood with your question.
FYI, since I don't have Note 3, today I tried searching about the keyboard on this phone. Seems not all Note 3 have special characters that are displayed on the letter keys(my S4 and S5 don't display those characters either), it may be carrier related. I found Note 3 T-mobile that has those on the keyboard. So, here my conclusion:
1. You can't delete those characters.
2. Those characters are not associate with any other non English language. As a note, keyboard uses language based on what you have chosen in the "Select input language" in the keyboard settings. When you choose more than one languages, they will remain being separated and you can switch them by swiping the space bar.
3. You can type the special character with ease by tapping and holding the up arrow icon(in the left side of letter "Z") and tap the required letter where the required character is placed at the same time. For example, when you want to enter $, tap and hold the up arrow icon and tap the letter "S".
