Samsung Galaxy S3: How to Hide or Unhide Bluetooth Name

One of useful feature that is owned by the Samsung Galaxy S3 is Bluetooth. By enabling this feature, you can do file sharing, transfer file or data with another Bluetooth capable devices.

How to show the Bluetooth name?
Taken from telecom.co.nz, to facilitate activities that require a Bluetooth connection you might have to set its visibility ON by following the steps below:
  1. Tap the Menu key on Home screen.
  2. On the pop up menu select Settings.
  3. Make sure the Bluetooth is ON.
  4. Tap Bluetooth.
  5. Tick the checkbox next to the Visible option to show your Bluetooth device name.
  6. Finish. Now your Bluetooth name is visible.

How to Hide the Bluetooth name?
From the same source, for any reason if you want to hide your Bluetooth name, kindly following the steps below:
  1. Tap the Menu key on Home screen.
  2. On the pop up menu select Settings.
  3. Make sure the Bluetooth is ON.
  4. Tap Bluetooth.
  5. Remove the tick on the checkbox next to the Visible option to hide your Bluetooth name.
  6. Finish. Now your Bluetooth name is unvisible.
