    1. Hi Icing Occasions,
      Thanks for coming.
      That's weird.
Anyway, if you have installed Samsung Kies on your PC, you can delete your picture from there. Here's the step (I use Kies 3 and Win 7):
      1. Connect your phone to your PC.
      2. Launch Kies software.
      3. Once the phone is connected, click Photos menu. All your photos will be displayed here. You can view your photos by date, by month, by year or by folder.
      4. Select pictures you want to delete and then press the Delete key on your PC's keyboard.

Another method, if you haven't installed Kies, you can delete pictures directly from Windows explorer. Connect your phone to PC and then explore your phone through Windows explorer. Find the pictures(to make it easier, you can view your photos in thumbnail view) you want to delete from there.
      Well, hope it helps :)

  3. What about the photos it saves. I've deleted them from the surface but I installed a photo app and it showed me bunches of photos I wanted to get rid of. That means they are still on my phone somewhere. How do I get to them and permanently erase them?

    1. Hi Ness Pie,
      Thanks for coming.
Can you please tell me what's the name of the photo app? I believe that this app is synced with your Gallery app and there's should be an option to disable/stop sync process.

  4. You can't delete albums if they are synced. You can only delete the photos you put on/downloaded/took yourself. It synced a bunch of FB and Google pic albums and I couldn't figure out why i couldnt get rid of them. No delete. now to figure out how to get hundreds of MB of google pics off my phone - just did a softwared updated that was almost 600mb!

    1. Hi Birch,
      Thanks for coming.
Well, I'm so sorry because I didn't mention that the steps above only works for those you have saved in your phone (internal storage and SD card).
If you want to remove those synced with other sources (FB or Picasa) then you have to disable the sync photo option in your FB or Google account and then perform clear the Gallery app data from the app info or apps manager. You can see the complete steps to remove Picasa albums from Gallery app here:http://inside-galaxy.blogspot.com/2014/04/samsung-galaxy-s4-how-to-fix-cant_11.html

  5. Hi Tamaresque InTassie,
    Thanks for coming.
You have to disable sync option first if you'd like your phone to not display synced photos(e.g: Picasa photos, Dropbox photos, FB photos, etc) in your Gallery app.
Try using the following steps to remove Dropbox photos from Gallery app (FYI, I write these steps based on my Galaxy S4 runs with Android 5.0.1 Lollipop):
    1. Open Gallery app.
    2. Tap the Menu key and then select "Settings".
    3. Tap "Dropbox sync".
    4. Scroll down the screen and then tap "Pictures".
    5. Slide the ON/OFF switch to the left to disable this option and remove your Dropbox's pictures from Gallery app.
