In addition to set the image as wallpaper, you can also save the image you like from the web into your phone, either for collection only or to edit the image then use it as your wallpaper

How to download image from the web?
Below are the steps to do so:
  1. Open the default browser apps.
  2. Find the image you want to download.
  3. View the image in full size.
  4. Long tap the image, then on pop up menu select Save image.
  5. Finish. Now the image will be saved to the /download folder.

Once the image is completely downloaded, now you can go to My Files>Download then navigate to the image to edit or to crop it or even use it as lock screen wallpaper or Home screen wallpaper.

  1. this doesnt work for me. i have tried many many many ways, but i am only given an option to crop the image. it wont allow me to set it as a lock screen, only background

    1. Hi Gemlinhc,
      Thanks for coming.
Long tap the image in the webpage, then select "Save image". The image will be downloaded to your phone. Once the download process is completed, open the image via Gallery app. From here, tap the Menu key, scroll to the bottom and select "Set as"> tap "Lock screen"> tap the Done button. The picture will be set as lock screen wallpaper.
      Hope this helps :)

  2. I usually use Chrome, but recently, whenever I select "Save Image", It makes me choose between Camera, Documents, Cam recorder and Voice Recorder. And when I do choose, it takes me to the app, and doesn't save the image.

    1. Hi Mosspath297,
Thanks for coming and I'm so sorry for the late answer.
If you used to be able to save image when selecting "save image" on Chrome, then you can try to fix your issue by uninstalling updates for Chrome app so that it'll revert back to the older version. See the following steps to do so:
      1. In Home screen, tap "Apps" to go to the app drawer.
      2. Tap and hold "Chrome" and then drag it to the App info icon located at the top of the screen.
      3. In the App info screen, tap "Uninstall updates" button.
      4. Tap "OK" button to confirm.
      5. Once done, try saving image from Chrome and then see whether it helps :)

  3. after updating to 5.0.2 I cant save photos anymore
