In addition to set call rejection, here you can also set call reject with messages. By set this option means you can reject an incoming call by send the caller a reject message. You can use available reject messages or create your own messages.

To do so kindly follow the steps listed below:

  2. Tap Phone.
  3. Tap Call settings.
  4. Tap Set reject messages.
  5. Here you set call reject messages:
    • Edit from available reject messages: Tap to the one you wish to edit then once you've finished you can tap Save button located on the upper right corner.
    • Create your own reject messages: Tap Create to type your own reject messages then tap Save button located on the upper right corner. Your messages will be added to the list.
  6. Finish. Now you have managed to set call reject messages on your phone.

  1. This was great. I didn't know how to edit the reject mesages. I live abroad and my friends use 3-4 different languages, so now I have made the messages in all the needed languages instead of just the default list in my phones language

    1. Hi Mary Klafert,
      Thanks for coming.
Theoretically, you should be able to add them up to 10 messages. But, it's may vary depending on your carrier or else.

  3. Hi there, My Galaxy 3 USED to let me see who is calling and then send a text instead of answering ... but latest update seems to have removed the option of sending an incoming caller an immediate text saying "cant talk - in meeting- so pls send quick text!"which I used to be able to do.. is there a way to do this again? (not reject all callers which seems to be only new option)

    1. Hi Buddy,
      Thanks for coming.
Did you mean about call reject message as I've mentioned in this article? This option (reject call with message) will be displayed at the bottom of the screen when you receive an incoming call. You can use this option to send one of your reject message to the caller which will also reject the call. FYI, this option isn't removed in all Android Jelly Bean. You can still find this option in the Call settings in the Phone app.

    1. Hi Buddy,
      Thanks for getting back here.
Well, seems I was wrong. So, is it Samsung Galaxy Gear? I don't understand much about Gear, but from what I've read, if you reject a call in your Gear, you should be able to choose to send a call reject message to the caller. So, I'm so sorry if I can't help you much.

    1. Hi Ashrith Dkishore,
      Thanks for coming.
The reject call with message screen only appears if you swipe up the bottom of the screen when you have an incoming call. However, since there's no option to turn this feature off, then you can avoid sending reject message accidentally when receiving a call by deleting all rejection messages in the Phone app settings.
