Can you please tell me what the carrier are you using now? Also, I just know from the forum that the Radio FM only available on the Samsung Galaxy S3 3G model, because the 4G chips doesn't support with the FM functionality. And for the record, there is a user confirmed that the Telstra has deactivated this apps.

  6. Hello Rehan and thank you for your useful article.

My insurance in UK just replaced my broken s3 that I had from Canada, and I was very happy to see the FM Radio app when I first got it. However, when I tried to use it, it asked for the headphones to be plugged in, which I didn't have at that moment, and since then I am not able to find this app in the installed applications any more.

Can you please tell me how do I see if I have the international version of the phone or which version it is, and how can I make sure that I have the FM Radio app?

    Than you :-)

      Thanks for coming.
CMIIW, the international version usually comes with Quad-core 1.4 GHz and 1Gb of RAM. Also, given to your information that you previously can find the Radio app on your phone, the try to go to Settings> Application manager> swipe to the All screen> scroll to the very bottom and see whether Radio app is labelled as disable. If so, tap the row then tap Enable button to bring back the app in the App drawer.
      Hope this helps :)

Make sure you have plugged in the earphone correctly.
However, have you ever tried to restart your phone? Another way, try to clear cache and data of the Radio app through the Application manager in the Settings menu followed by restarting the phone then see whether it helps.
      Hope this helps :)

    1. Hi Virginia Harris,
      Thanks for coming.
CMIIW, there's no way to listen to the radio with the stock Radio FM app without using headphones because it will act as the antenna. But, if you listen to the radio with a streaming-radio app then you have no need to use headphones.

Well, yes you can download a radio app from the Play Store but it'll need data to run. Some of them may have a feature that will let you to record or save what you're listening while connected to the internet so that you can listen to it while offline.
