Samsung Galaxy S3: How to Set Time Zone Manually

As we have learn before that you can enable or disable Automatic time zone option on Samsung Galaxy SIII. Enabling this option will make your phone to use time zone provided by the network that you're currently using.

In addition to set time zone automatically, here is also an option which will allow you to change the time zone manually. But, first you need to turn off automatic time zone option before adjusting the time zone manually.


How to change time zone manually?
If you want to adjust time zone to suit with your current location manually, then below are the steps to do:
  1. Go to Apps through Home screen.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Under System section, tap Date and time.
  4. If required, uncheck the checkbox next to Automatic time zone option to disable this option.
  5. Tap Select time zone.
  6. Now you will see a list of time zone.
  7. Tap the required time zone you wish to use.
  8. Tap Home button to return to the standby mode.

Knowing how to set time zone manually or automatically will make you have two choices that you can choose the one which is best suit your needs. So, which one you like the most? Set it automatically or manually?

  1. SAMSUNG Galaxy 3: I live on the NSW/QLD border, the current switch to daylight saving forces me to turn off automatic Time zone and Time as my Alarm which set to NSW time will go off again in QLD when it gets there to the same time. Are ther any other solutions to this issue.?

      I've done lot of search to find a relevant solution for you, but what I've find is nothing. I've read on several forums, there are lot of people who live in border line also experiencing the same problem with you, and unfortunately they said that they can't do nothing to fix it. So, I really sorry because I can't help you more.

I have the problem that today changed the time zone on EST, and until yesturday EST had the same time that in Puerto Rico (which is where i live) but since the time changed in EST i have an hour ahead on my phone. I set up manually and the time is now correct on the top of my phone but on the time widget is still on EST (one hour ahead). Any idea? i tried taking off the widget and placed it again but still wrong!

  3. I am using a Samsung Galaxy S3 Neo device. I want to select "Kiribati" country (GMT=14) in time zone but the same is not available. Only GMT+13 of 3 countries is visible
