Samsung Galaxy S3: How to Set Camera Timer

There is flash option available on Galaxy SIII camera to help it get a good lighting. You can adjust this option according to the environment intensity light to get a better picture.

One more of a useful option available on this camera is timer. This option will allow you to set count down timer before the picture is taken. This of course will useful if you want to take group picture where you want to be part of it or to take self portrait. Timer will let the camera count down for some time so you will have the time to get into the position.


How to change camera timer option?
There are four options of camera timer available that you can choose according to your needs. Below are the steps to change the camera timer:
  1. Go to Apps through Home screen.
  2. Tap Camera.
  3. Tap Settings (gear) icon to enter the settings option.
  4. Tap Timer.
  5. Now you will see four options available. They are:
    • Off: Choose this option if you don't want to use timer.
    • 2 sec: Choose this option if you want to let the camera count down for 2 seconds before the picture is taken.
    • 5 sec: Choose this option if you want to let the camera count down for 5 seconds before the picture is taken.
    • 10 sec: Choose this option if you want to let the camera count down for 10 seconds before the picture is taken.
  6. Tap the required timer option you wish to use. When the dot indicator next to the option shows green means the option is selected.
  7. Tap Home button to return to the standby mode.
