Samsung Galaxy S3: How to Delete Icon on the Home Screen Dock

Personalizing Samsung Galaxy SIII is the most fun thing to do. One of the part of this phone that you can personalize is its Home screen. You can add, delete, rearrange and change your Home screen to your liking.

Another part of the Home screen which also configurable is its dock icon located at the bottom of the screen. By default, usually they are five icon of the most popular apps, such as Contacts, Phone, Messaging, Internet and Apps. But, if one or more of them are the icon that you don't want to be there, then you can delete one or more of them then replace them with your favourites apps or with the most frequently used apps.

How to remove icon on Home screen dock?
Below are the steps to do to remove one or more icons on Home screen dock:
  1. Tap and hold the required icon you wish to remove from the bottom dock, then move it upwards.
  2. Drag the icon to the Home screen then release to placed it. Make sure the Home screen has room for it in order to accept the new icon. If you wish to delete the icon rather than let it on your Home screen then you can move it to the Trash to delete it.
  3. Now you will see a blank spot at the bottom dock that you can use to add a new icon.
  4. To remove more icon, repeat from the step #1.

Deleting unused or unwanted icon at the bottom dock will allow you to fill the blank spot with any apps you wants. This of course will useful to make sure all the icon displayed at the bottom dock on your Home screen is anything that you wants.
