Samsung Galaxy S3: How to Enable or Disable Character Preview

The virtual keyboard in Samsung Galaxy SIII will make you more easier when you want to type a message or email. This keyboard also has some options to facilitate your typing activity, such as auto capitalization. This option will help you to type properly by automatically capitalize the first letter of the sentence.

Another option available on this keyboard is character preview. By enabling this option, whenever you touch the key on the virtual keyboard then you'll see a big character bubble appear above the keyboard.


How to turn on or off character preview?
To do so kindly follow the steps listed below:
  1. Go to Apps through Home screen.
  2. Scroll to Settings, then tap on it.
  3. Tap Language and input.
  4. Ensure the Samsung keyboard is turned on.
  5. Tap gear icon next to Samsung keyboard option to enter the settings.
  6. Tap Advanced.
  7. Depending on your current settings, tap Character preview to enable or disable this option. When the checkbox next to this option is ticked means this option is turned on.
  8. Tap Home button to return to the standby mode.

Once you've enabled this option, a big bubble with key will appear whenever you touch the key on the virtual keyboard. So, you can enable this option to help you ensure that you touch the right key as you want. But, if you was annoyed with the bubble then you can simply turn this option off.
