Samsung Galaxy S3: How to Change Home Screen Mode

Once you've upgrading your precious Samsung Galaxy SIII to the Android Jelly Bean, then you'll see some new features inside your phone accompanying this new operating system. One of which is blocking mode, this feature will allow you to block all or certain of notifications, calls, texts and messages.

Another new features that comes along with Android Jelly Bean is the feature to change the Home screen mode. Under this feature, you will see two options available that you can choose the one that best suit you.


How to switch Home screen mode?
Below are the steps to do to switch between basic mode and easy mode:
  1. Go to Apps through Home screen.
  2. Scroll to Settings, then tap on it.
  3. Under Device section, tap Home screen mode.
  4. Now you will see two Home screen modes available. They are:
    • Basic mode: This mode provides a conventional layout for the apps and widgets on your Home screen.
    • Easy mode: This mode provides an easier experience for the first time smartphone users from their Home screen.
  5. Tap the required Home screen mode you wish to use.
  6. Tap Apply button to save the changes.
  7. Tap Home button to return to the standby mode.

By knowing how to change the Home screen mode, now you can choose to use one of them that best suit you. If you want to use standard Home screen as you can find on the Android Ice Cream Sandwich then you can choose to use the basic mode, while if you want to use a simpler Home screen mode then you can choose to use the easy mode.
