Samsung Galaxy S3: How to Use the Incognito Feature in the Browser App

As one of pre-installed app in Samsung Galaxy SIII, You can directly use the Browser app without having to install it first. You can use this app to browse the web, read online magazine, etc. By default, the app will record all of your browsing activities to help you more easier to track what you have searched before. But, if you don't want to keep them, you can easily remove them from there. As we all know that lot of caches will make the browser run more slower and heavier.

Aside from manually clearing the histories, you can also utilize incognito feature inside this app which will make the page you open will not appear in the browser history after you close the page. This of course will useful if you want to browse any web page without leaving any trace.

How to use incognito mode?
Below are the steps to do so:
  1. Open Browser app.
  2. Tap Thumbnails of active browser windows iconlocated in the upper right corner.
  3. To use incognito mode, tap the Incognito iconin the upper right corner.
  4. The incognito page will opened and explained in the screen. The page will marked with the incognito icon in the left of address bar.
  5. Now, you're ready to browse the webs by typing in the URL in the address bar to navigate the web you wish to visit. While you using this mode, all of the webs you open will no longer appear in the Browser history, the files downloaded will not record in the download histories and cookies will not be saved once you closed the page.
  6. To use the regular mode, tap Thumbnails of active browser windows icon and then select a web page which is not using the incognito feature.

By knowing how to use incognito feature, now you can make the browser app not to record your browsing activities which means you have no need to clear the browser cache and history manually as what you do when you use a regular mode. So, hope this helps :)

    1. Hi Karen Cordon,
      Thanks for coming.
FYI, since I don't have a Galaxy S3 Mini so I can't give you an exactly-correct answer. But, if you don't mind, try reading our another post about how to get out from the incognito mode in Galaxy S3 in here: http://inside-galaxy.blogspot.com/2013/11/samsung-galaxy-s3-how-to-get-out-from.html
They may have different interfaces, but don't be hesitate to give it a shot and then see whether it helps :)
