ReplyDeleteHi Alaa sweet,
DeleteThanks for coming.
Also I'm so sorry in advance, seems I forgot something while writing this article. If you use the first methods, after you choose the desired contact, tap the edit button then tap the blank contact image to get the option.
Hi Rehan,
ReplyDeleteThanks for replying, actually the problem was because I checked the option (Sim) from the pop up menu (Contacts to display).
instead of Sim check (Phone) only on this option u can add photo to acontact ...
Hi Alaa Sweet,
DeleteThanks to let me know the causes.
Glad to see that you finally able to solve the problem :)
Hi Rehan & Alaa Sweet,
DeleteI'm not sure is it normal or not... but i can only change the picture on my google+ contacts, not to add image to my phone contacts (which will be more useful actually).
Is there any chance to do it?
ps I tried the method above and via gallery... but it recognize only google+ contacts.
Thanks!!!
Hi Thaichi,
DeleteThanks for coming.
Try to only display contact from Phone/device then try to assign certain picture from the Gallery app as the contact picture. However, when you change the contact picture from the Contact apps, did you receive an error or notification?
Hello. My question is, I can only add the photo if the contact is saved on the phone? How can I add a pic profile if it's already pn the sim card? Thank you
ReplyDeleteHi Raquel,
DeleteThanks for coming.
Unfortunately, you can't add picture on the contact you saved on your SIM. Usually the user only be able to save the name and numbers in the contact saved in the SIM card.
VERY Strange that it's not possible to add a picture for the contacts that are saved on the SIM card...
DeleteHi Sosolobi,
DeleteThanks for coming.
From what I know, most of SIM card only let the user to save a single name and a single phone number for a single contact.
Hey there,
ReplyDeleteDo you happen to know any way to change every contact photo at once? The default picture is creepy but I can't figure out if I can change them all without doing it individually .
Hi Christenah D'Archi,
DeleteThanks for coming.
AFAIK, there's no common methods to change all the contact pictures at once. But, I might be wrong. So, if anybody here know how to do so, please share the steps here to help Christenah solve the problem.
I would also reallly love to know how to do this. Same reason, that standard picture is really creepy.
DeleteHi Ashley Waters,
DeleteThanks for coming.
Unfortunately, till I write this reply I have not yet find the steps to change those default contact pictures nor the one who know how to do so. You can change the picture individually, but this of course will take lot of times especially if you have lot of contacts.
I have managed to add photos to my contacts but when I get a txt from them there is no picture can u help ??
ReplyDeleteHi Zena Swiggs,
DeleteThanks for coming.
I've tried to find what was caused your problem, but I found nothing. However, when you're in the Messaging app, tap the contact picture in the left side of a message then tap the contact's name. It'll bring you to a contact detail screen. Now, tap the Edit button then see where the contact is saved. From here you can also add/change a picture to the contact. Once done, tap Save button. Back to the Messaging app, now see the contact's pictures in a message, do they have photos or not?
Hello Rehan, I have the same problem as Zena Swiggs, I have imported come contacts from sim card to save on phone so I could add a picture (is there an option to convert all sim contacts to phone contacts in one go?), this worked, however, messages from the same contact are still in sim form with no photo, how does this change? When I try an alternative route by going to the list of contacts saved on phone (via 'contacts to display) and tap the message option to see if I may need to start a new message this way, it brings me to the same conversations we have previously had in the sim card option.
DeleteHi MoonLittleMoon,
DeleteThanks for coming.
You can see the complete steps to copy contacts from SIM to phone here:http://inside-galaxy.blogspot.com/2013/05/samsung-galaxy-s3-how-to-copy-contact.html
However, if you don't mind, try to copy a contact from SIM to phone, add photos and then delete the SIM contact you've just copied. Theoretically, when you have an incoming text message from this contact, the photo contact will be displayed in Messaging app.
So you cant add a photo to SiM contacts ia that right? Only to Device
