The multi window feature is an enhancement from the multitask ability owned by this phone. By enabling this feature, then your phone will be able to display two apps that support multi window at once, allows you composing an email message while watching video on Youtube.
How to enable multi window feature?
Once you've known that your Android version is 4.1.2 or above, then you can enable this feature by using one of two methods as listed below:
I. From the Settings menu
The first way to enable this option is through the Settings menu. Here are the steps:
- Go to Settings.
- Scroll to Display, then tap it.
- Check the box next to Multi window to enable this option.
- Now, the multi window feature has been enabled on your phone.
II. From the notification bar
The second way to enable multi window feature is through the notification bar, this step is more easier and faster. Here are the steps:
- Pull down the notification bar.
- Scroll to the right on the little set of toggles to find Multi Window option.
- Tap Multi window to enable this option. When the option is lit or shows green means the option is turned on.
- Done, multi window feature has been enabled.
How to disable multi window?
Some of visitors in Inside-Galaxy said that their phone becomes slow or the battery drained quickly when the multi window feature is activated, another said that they don't want a half circle icon of multi window feature is displayed on the left side of the phone. Well, if you had the same feeling or experience with them, then you can easily fix it by disabling this features using one of two methods as listed below:
I. From the Settings menu
As when you enable it, you can also disable it through the settings menu. Here are the steps:
- Open Settings.
- Tap Display.
- Remove the tick on the box next to the Multi window option.
- The multi window feature has been disabled.
II. From notifications bar
Below are the steps to do to turn off multi window through the notifications bar:
- Pull down notification bar.
- Scroll to the right on the little set of toggles to see Multi Window option.
- Disable the Multi window option. When this option shows grey means the option is turned off.
As another features available on this phone, multi window also brings advantages and disadvantages. Enabling this features will make you be able to display two different apps in two different window on your phone in the same time, while in the other side this will also drain the battery more quickly, slow down the device and for some peoples the multi window icon on the left screen is annoying.
