For example, you can use the easy call feature that will allow you to make calls simply by swiping the contact from left to right, or you can use the speed dial that will allow you to assign a shortcut number to an existing contact number on your contact list.

Another way that you can do to make a call more easier, especially if you want to make a call on the contact number that require you to type in the PIN numbers or extensions is by adding pauses in the contact so you do not need to enter the number each time you call them. You can either add a pause to stop the calling sequence for 2 seconds or adding a wait to pause the calling sequence until you enter number or pressing a key.


How to add a pause or wait to an existing contact?
Below are the steps to do so:
  1. Open the Contacts app.
  2. Tap the required contact you wish to add the pauses.
  3. Tap the Edit button.
  4. Tap the phone number field at the position where you wish to add the pause or wait.
  5. Tap the Sym key. To add pause go to the step # 6 while to add wait go to the step # 7.
  6. Add pause to contact
    • Tap Pause to add a two second pause. This will displayed as comma (,). For example: if the standard call in 888-444-111, but Rehan was in 234, then in Rehan's contact: 888-444-111,234
    • Tap the Save button to save the changes.
    • Now, when you call Rehan, your phone will wait for 2 seconds before the phone continue dialing the next set of number after comma.
  7. Add wait to contact
    • Tap Wait to add a wait. This will displayed as a semi-colon (;). For example, if the standard call in 888-444-111, but Rehan was in 234, then in Rehan's contact: 888-444-111;234
    • Tap the Save button to save the changes.
    • Now, when you call Rehan, you will be prompted with a box to enter a number or press a key to tell the phone when to continue dialing the next set of number after the semi-colon.

By knowing this step, now you can much more easier to call the persons who have phone number with extensions or you can much more easier to call the phone number which require you to type in the PIN or password, such as when you want to access a voice mail or call another automated call systems. How to fix Google Play Store not working problem?

I. Check whether the Download app is disabled
The first methods that you can do is by checking whether the Download app is disabled or not. Some user said that the Download app on their phone was turned off during the update. Once they enable it they can accessing the Play Store again. Here's the step:
  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Tap Application manager.
  3. Swipe to the All screen.
  4. Scroll to the very bottom then check if the Download is labelled as disabled. If so, tap the the row and then tap Enable button to enable Download app.
  5. Now, try to open Google Play Store.

II. Clear Google Play Store's Cache
If the first methods is not works, then try to clear cache of the Google Play Store app by following the steps listed below:
  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Tap Application manager.
  3. Swipe to the All screen.
  4. Find Google Play Store, then tap it.
  5. Tap Clear cache button.
  6. Tap Force stop button followed by tapping OK button to confirm.
  7. Now, try to open Google Play Store.

III. Clear Google Play Store's Cache and Data
If the first and the second methods are not works, try to clear cache and data of the Play Store by following the steps below:
  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Tap Application manager.
  3. Swipe to the All screen.
  4. Find Google Play Store, then tap it.
  5. Tap Clear cache button.
  6. Tap Clear data followed by tapping OK button to confirm.
  7. Tap Force stop button followed by tapping OK button to confirm
  8. Now, try to open Google Play Store.

IV. Reset App Preferences
The last methods that you can do if all the steps above are not works is by resetting the app preferences as listed below:
  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Tap Application manager.
  3. Swipe to the Downloaded screen.
  4. Tap the Menu key then select Reset app preferences.
  5. Restart the phone.
  6. Once the phone is up, open the Play Store. You'll be asked if you would like to use your Google account and then tap Agree to terms.

FYI, I didn't include factory reset as one of the method to solve this problem due to this process will erase all of the data on your phone. But, if you don't mind will all of the risk, then you can do that with your own risk.   4. If necessary, you can edit the bookmark's name and then save it in Mobile bookmarks.
  5. Tap Save button.
  6. Tap the Menu key then select Bookmarks.
  7. Long tap in the required bookmark then on the pop up menu select Add to home screen.
  8. The shortcut to the bookmark has been created on the home screen.
  9. Later, you just need to tap the shortcut then it will load the web in the Chrome browser app. If you prompted with the "complete action using" menu, then you can set Chrome app as the default.

Indeed, this step only add certain web page shortcuts to the Home screen not set the homepage. But, at least by using the steps, now you can load the desired web page on the Chrome app every time you tap it, which is the same as how the homepage works.

  1. Open S Memo app.
  2. To temporarily unlock the memo, tap the memo then enter the unlock number (the same as the lock number). Once you close the memo, then it will be locked again.
  3. To permanently unlock the memo, long tap the memo then select Unlock option followed by entering the unlock code.

One of the insider asked me why her Samsung Galaxy SIII screen displaying a grid line that follow her move. After some further investigation, it turned out that she was accidentally activate the option named show pointer location under the developer option menu.

Yap, the developer menu option is actually intended for the developers purposes, so if you're a basic user then better you leave them in default to avoid you experience an unexpected situations. For example, some users said that their phone displays the flashing red border around the screen and thinks that it's a problem. Apparently, this is because they were accidentally activate the strict mode option under developer option menu. The strict mode is used to inform the developers when the apps perform long operations on main thread by displaying a flashing red frame around the screen. Given the cause, so the way to fix this issue is by disabling the strict mode option.


How to disable Strict Mode?
Below are the steps to do so:
  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Scroll down and find the Developer option, then tap it.
  3. Under the Monitoring section, uncheck the checkbox next to the Strict mode option to disable it.
  4. Now, restart your phone.

Well, if you also don't want this album show up in your Gallery app, then you can remove them by setting the phone to stop syncing with Picasa web album.


How to remove Picasa album in Gallery app?
Below are the steps you need to do:
  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Tap Account and sync.
  3. Tap your Google account.
  4. Uncheck the checkbox next to Sync Picasa Web albums to stop the device sync with Picasa web albums .
  5. Go back to Settings menu.
  6. Tap Application manager.
  7. Swipe to the All screen.
  8. Find the Gallery app, then tap it.
  9. Tap Clear data button followed by tapping the OK button to confirm clearing the data. You don't need to worry, this process will not make you lose any picture.
  10. Now, you can try to open the Gallery app and let it to refresh. The Picasa album should not appear in the Gallery app.

For the record, this steps only stop the sync process between the device and Picasa web albums to make the Gallery not displaying the Picasa album. All of photos that you already synced with the Picasa web albums still remain there. You can access them through the Picasa web from the Browser app. So, hope this helps :)
