How to use the tracking AF feature in the Camera app?
You can do so by using the following steps:
- In the Home screen, tap Apps at the bottom right corner of the screen to go to the Apps menu and then tap Camera app to open it. If the quick launch camera feature is enabled, you can quickly launch the Camera app from any screen simply by pressing the Home key twice in quick succession.
- Tap at the top left corner to view the detailed settings for the Camera app.
- Slide the ON/OFF switch next to Tracking AF to the right to enable this option. The switch turns green when it's enabled.
- Tap at the top left corner or tap the Back key to return to the camera's preview screen.
- Aim the camera to the object.
- Tap the object you want to track so the camera in your phone will focus on and track it. Tap to take a photo.
- Tap the preview thumbnail to view the photo in the Gallery app.
As a note, the tracking AF feature may fail to track the selected object in the following conditions:
- When the object is too big or too small.
- The object moves or the camera shakes excessively.
- The object is in the low-light environment.
- The object and the background have the same colours or patterns.
