Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge: How to Change the Volume Keys Function in Camera App in Android 5.1.1 Lollipop

When needed, you can assign the required function to the Volume keys when you're using the Camera app in your Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge. You can set these keys as the camera key so you can use it to take a photo, as the record video key so you can use it to record a video, or as the zoom key so you can use it to adjust the zoom level.

How to change the Volume keys function in the Camera app?
You can do so by using the following steps:
  1. In the Home screen, tap Apps at the bottom right corner of the screen to go to the Apps menu and then tap Camera app to open it. If the quick launch camera feature is enabled, you can quickly launch the Camera app from any screen simply by pressing the Home key twice in quick succession.
  2. Tap at the top left corner of the screen to view the detailed settings for the Camera app.
  3. Scroll the screen to the very bottom.
  4. Tap Volume keys function and then select from the following options:
    • Take pictures: select this option to set the Volume keys as the camera key so you can take pictures by pressing the Volume up key or the Volume down key.
    • Record video: select this option to set the Volume keys as the record video key so you can start recording a video by pressing the Volume up key or the Volume down key.
    • Zoom: select this option to set the Volume keys as the zoom key so you can zoom in by pressing the Volume up key or zoom out by pressing the Volume down key.
  5. The Volume keys function has been changed.
