Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge: How to Take a Photo Using Interval Shot Mode in Camera App in Android 5.1.1 Lollipop

Interval shot is a shooting mode available when you're using the front facing camera in your Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge for self-portraits. When this mode is enabled, your phone will take a series of self-portrait photos at an intervals and then let you to select the best photos you want to save. You can use this mode if you have difficulty in making a good self-portrait photo in one shot, as the example, if you always blink or nervous when photographed, or if you're taking a self-portrait photo when there's moving object in the background.

How to take a photo using interval shot mode in the Camera app?
You can do so by using the following steps:
  1. Open the Camera app.
  2. If it's using the rear camera, tap to switch to the front camera for self-portraits. By default, the front camera uses selfie as the default shooting mode.
  3. Tap Mode to view all available shooting modes.
  4. Tap Interval shot to select and enable this mode.
  5. Face the front camera lens. Make sure your face is not too close with the camera and gets enough lighting so that it can easily be detected.
  6. If you'd like to remove the facial flaws, e.g., large pores, acne, etc., you can use the beauty mode by tapping and then drag the adjustment bar to the right or to the left to adjust the beauty mode level. The camera will detect your face and provide you the enhanced face preview in real time. If you see that your face looks unnatural or waxy, it'd better if you decrease the beauty mode level for a better result.
  7. Tap to take an interval shot photo. The camera will take four photos at the two-second intervals. FYI, if you have difficulty in making a good self-portrait photo by tapping the on-screen camera icon because it makes more shakes and blurriness in your photo, you can use other alternative ways to take a self-portrait becomes easier and more convenient, e.g., by placing your finger on the heart rate sensor on the back of your phone, by showing your palm on the front camera lens, etc.
  8. All captured photos will be displayed on the screen and one of them is selected by your phone as the best photo. When needed, you can also save other photos by checking the box in the desired ones. Tap Save to save the selected photos and discard the rest.
  9. Tap the preview thumbnail to view all photos you have saved in the Gallery app.
