Direct call is one of the motion-based features inside this phone. By enabling this features, you can easily calls the phone number displayed on your phone's screen by holding the phone near your ear.

2. Speed Dial
Assigning some contacts to a speed dialing key of course will be able to facilitate you when you wants to make a calls. Simply by assigning the required contacts to a speed dialing key, then in further use you just need to tap the required speed dialing key on the Phone apps then the phone will automatically calls the contacts assigned on that key.

3. Easy Call

One of the way to communicate with others is by making a calls or send a message through the phone. To do so, first you need to know the phone numbers of the people you want to call or send a message with. Once you know the numbers, you can add them into your contacts apps to facilitate you for further use. Luckily, you can add the contact number to your contacts apps easily on Samsung Galaxy SIII.

As time goes by, you may found that you already saved lot of numbers on your contacts. This sometimes bring a little difficulties to you when you wants to make a calls or send a message to certain contacts. To help you solve this problem, add shortcuts for a certain contacts on Home screen is one of the alternative solution that you can do.


How to add shortcut for a certain contact on Home screen?
First of all, make sure you have space enough on the Home screen before you do this steps. Well, here are the complete steps to do:
  1. Long tap in the blank area on the Home screen.
  2. On pop up menu select Add to Home screen option.
  3. Tap Widget tab.
  4. Find Contact 1x1 widget by swiping the screen to the left or to the right.
  5. Tap and Hold to move it to the Home screen.
  6. Choose the required contacts you wish to add the shortcuts.
  7. Finish. The shortcuts of the selected contacts has been created on the Home screen.

Once you've finished do these steps, now you can access the contact you already added by tapping the shortcuts on the Home screen. From there, you can make a calls, send a message, etc.

Samsung Galaxy S3: How to Add More Information on Certain Contact

Contacts apps is one of the stock application that you can find in Samsung Galaxy SIII. You can do many things here to customize the required contact you've already added before, such as adding picture to certain contact.

One more thing that you can do to customize the contact is by adding another field available to provide more information on those contacts.


How to add another field on contact?
Below are the steps to do so:
  1. Go to Apps through Home screen.
  2. Tap Contacts.
  3. Tap Contact tab.
  4. Tap the required contact you wish to add another field.
  5. Tap the Menu key then select Edit.
  6. Tap Add another field button at the bottom area of the contact.
  7. Now you'll see available field of information that you can add, such as phonetic name, organization, email, address, IM, address, note, nickname, website, internet call, event and relationship.
  8. Tap the required field.
  9. Fill the field with the required information.
  10. To add more field, repeat from the step no #6.
  11. Tap Save to save the changes.

By adding another field, now you can add more information on certain contacts. For the record, you should save the contact on phone to be able to do so.

Samsung Galaxy S3: How to Solve Bluetooth Connection Problems

Everybody should be agree that Samsung Galaxy SIII is a great Android-based smartphone that has lot of useful features and abilities. One of which is Bluetooth capability owned by this phone. You can use Bluetooth to pair with another Bluetooth-capable device to transfer files, share internet connection, etc.

Aside from the advantages of the Bluetooth, some of users also have been reported that they were encountered some Bluetooth connection problems, such unable to pair/connect/recognize with another Bluetooth-capable device.


How to fix Bluetooth connections problem?
If you encountering one of these common problem as mentioned above, then kindly check these steps below to help you knowing the causes and how to fix it:
1. Make sure another device you're pairing has the same Bluetooth protocols as your Samsung Galaxy SIII
For the record, as written in the manual guide of this phone that it's compatible with Bluetooth 4.0 with A2DP, AVRCP, GOEP, HFP, HID, HSP, MAP, OPP, and PBAP. So, if the device you're pairing not compatible with any of these protocols, then it will make your phone unable to recognize them.

2. Make sure Bluetooth on both the devices is enabled
Check on both devices to make sure that the Bluetooth is enabled. If Bluetooth on one of the device is disabled, then it will caused your phone unable to pair.

3. Make sure both the devices is in range
For most devices, including with Samsung Galaxy, Bluetooth communication range is about 30 feet. So, make sure both of the devices is in range to be able to pair with each other. If one of the device is out of range, then it will caused your phone unable to connect.

4. Restart the phone
If you already have checked the step #1 up to the step #3 and they are all just fine but you still encountering Bluetooth connection problem, then try to restart your phone. Once your phone is on, try to pair to see whether the problem is still there or not.

5. Turn off the phone and removing the battery
If restarting the phone still unable to resolve the problem, then try to turn the phone off, remove the battery for about 30 seconds, reinsert the battery then turn on the phone and try to re-pair again with another Bluetooth-capable device to see if the problem is resolved.

6. Remove pairing and re-pair
If restarting the phone with or without pull down the battery still unable to fix the problem, then try to remove the pairing and restart your phone again. Once the phone is on, try to re-pair the device then see whether it solved the problem.

Well, accessing installed application, either the stock application or not is a basic knowledge about using Samsung Galaxy SIII. For some of you may have known well about it, but for some another it may something new or little bit difficult for them to do.


How to access installed apps?
Here are the steps to do so:
  1. From your Home screen, tap Apps icon to access the application list. This icon usually located at the bottom right corner of the screen.
  2. Swipe the screen to the right or to the left to go to another applications list screen, or you can go to another screen by tapping the dots at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Tap the application you wish to use.
  4. Tap the Back key to return to the previous screen or tap Home key to return to the Home screen.
  5. To access recently used apps, tap and hold the Home key then tap the required apps to access them.

Many choices of the apps available, sometimes makes you end up with installing many apps on your phone. Even though, in fact you just use some of them, and the other is not. Instead of uninstall the apps, here are 3 ways that you can do to make you more faster and easier accessing your favourites apps:


1. Add the shortcut of the apps to the Home screen.
Adding your favourites apps shortcut on Home screen of course will make you more easier and faster to access the apps. You don't need to go to the application list, simply tapping the apps shortcut on the Home screen and the apps will launch.

2. Change the default app on the bottom dock of the Home screen.
By default, there are usually four icon of the most frequently used apps available in the bottom of the Home screen. If you don't want one of them to be there, then you can delete it and use the blank spot there to add the new apps that you wish to be there.

3. Change the default apps shortcuts on lock screen.
As with the default apps in the bottom of the Home screen, you can also do this with the apps icon on the lock screen. You can change one or more of them with your favourites apps. By doing this, you can access your favourites apps easily even when your phone is locked.

  5. Now you'll see a list of your email accounts.
  6. Tap the required email account you wish to add the shortcut.
  7. Finish. the shortcut to an email account has been added to the Home screen.
  8. To add more shortcut for another email account, you can repeat from the step #1.

It's easy, right? Adding shortcuts for each email account will of course be able to facilitate you accessing them directly through the Home screen.
