Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge: How to Use Night Mode when Taking a Photo in Low Light Condition in Camera App in Android 5.1.1 Lollipop

The Camera app in your Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge will automatically enable night mode when you use it to take a photo in low light environment. This feature will adjust the brightness so you can get a brighter and clearer photo without you have to use the flash.

How to use the night mode when taking a photo in low light condition in the Camera app?
As the example, we'll take a photo in low light condition when the HDR mode is on and the shooting mode is set to Auto by using the following steps:
  1. Open the Camera app. By default, the Camera app uses Auto as the shooting mode.
  2. Aim the camera to the object. When the camera detects that the light is low, this icon will appear as a sign that the night mode is enabled.
  3. When needed, you can change the focus by tapping the image on the screen where the camera should focus.
  4. Tap to take a photo with night mode.
  5. Tap the preview thumbnail to view the photo in full screen view in the Gallery app.
