How to take a HDR photo in the Camera app?
HDR mode can be used in both the rear and front cameras. But, as the example, we'll take a HDR photo with the rear camera while in Auto mode by using the following steps:
- Open the Camera app. If the quick launch feature is enabled, you can quickly launch the Camera app from any screen by pressing the Home key twice in quick succession.
- Tap the HDR mode icon to enable it. The icon changes depend on the setting you're using:
- : this icon will display when HDR mode is disabled.
- : this icon will display when HDR mode is enabled.
- : this icon will display when HDR mode is set to auto which means your phone will automatically enable HDR mode based on the shooting conditions.
- Aim the camera to the subject.
- If needed, you can change the focus by tapping the image on the preview screen where the camera should focus.
- Tap to take a HDR photo.
- Tap the preview thumbnail to view the photo in full screen view in the Gallery app.
