Samsung Galaxy S4: How to Turn On Mobile Data in Android 4.4.2 Kitkat

Samsung Galaxy S4 provides you with some features that can be used to obtain the internet connection, one of which is the mobile data feature. When this feature is enabled, you can connect your phone to a mobile network to use internet when a Wi-Fi network is not available. But, you have to remember that you may incur with the additional charges when you use mobile data to use internet.


How to enable mobile data?
There are some methods that can be used to access the option to turn on the mobile data, but this time we'll use three different methods to do so: from the quick settings panel, from the notification panel and from the settings menu.


Method #1: From the quick settings panel
  1. On any screen, swipe down the top of the screen with two fingers to open up the quick settings panel.
  2. Tap Mobile data button to enable the mobile data. The button turns green when it's enabled.
  3. The mobile data has been enabled.


Method #2: From the notification panel
  1. On any screen, swipe down the top of the screen to open up the notification panel.
  2. Swipe the bar of the quick panel to the left to see the quick settings button for the mobile data.
  3. Tap Mobile data button to enable the mobile data. The button turns green when it's enabled.
  4. The mobile data has been enabled.


Method #3: From the settings menu
  1. On home screen, tap the Menu key and then select Settings to go to the settings menu.
  2. Tap Connections tab.
  3. Tap More networks.
  4. Tap Mobile networks.
  5. Check the box next to Mobile data to enable it.
  6. The mobile data has been enabled.

    I have a galexy S4 SGH-l337M with android 5.0.1
    But there is no shortcut in the notification or quick setting panel for " Mobile data " and I have to go to settigs to have access to mobile data.
    Can you help me

      From what I know, the mobile data button is one of the default quick setting buttons that can be found in the notification panel or quick settings panel.
