Samsung Galaxy S5: How Enable and Use Air Call-Accept Feature in Android 4.4.2 Kitkat

Samsung Galaxy S5 provides you with several air-gestures-based features, one of which is the air call-accept feature that can be found in the Phone app settings. This feature lets you to answer incoming calls without having to touch the phone since you can do so simply by moving your hand above the sensor(it's located above the screen in the right side of the earpiece).


How to enable or disable air call-accept feature?
You can do so by using the following steps:
  1. Open Phone app.
  2. Tap or long press the Recent apps key to open up the additional options and then select Settings.
  3. Tap Call.
  4. Tap Answering and ending calls.
  5. Depending on your current settings, tap Waving hand over device to enable or disable this option. When the checkbox next to this option is checked means the air call-accept feature is enabled.


How to use air call-accept feature?
Assuming that you have enabled the air call-accept feature in the Phone app settings, then you can use it to answer calls. See the following steps to do so:
  1. When an incoming call is received, you'll see is displayed on the status bar as a sign that air call-accept feature is available.
  2. To answer the call, wave your hand above the sensor left and right repeatedly.

As a note, to make the sensor easily recognize your gesture, make sure to move your hand smoothly and steadily above the sensor up to 7 cm above the screen.
