Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge: How to Enable and Use Character Preview Feature in Samsung Keyboard in Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow

The default Samsung keyboard in your Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge has some features that can be used to help you type better, one of which is the character preview feature. When this feature is enabled, your phone will show a big character bubble when you're tapping a key on the Samsung QWERTY keyboard. It comes handy if you have difficulty to make sure that you have tapped the right key when typing, such as when you have thick fingers.

How to enable or disable the character preview feature in the Samsung keyboard?
You can turn on or off this feature by using the following steps:
  1. On any screen, swipe down the top of the screen to open up the notification panel and then tap at the top right to go to the settings menu.
  2. Scroll down to the screen to find Language and input and then tap it.
  3. Tap Samsung keyboard.
Alternatively, when you're entering text, you can quickly go to the Samsung keyboard settings by long tapping the key in the left side of the space bar and then tap .
  4. Scroll down the screen to the Key-tap feedback section and then tap the ON/OFF switch next to Character preview to enable or disable this option. The switch turns when it's enabled.

How to use the character preview feature in the Samsung keyboard?
See the following steps as the example of using this feature when entering text with the Samsung qwerty keyboard:
  1. Go to the screen or app where you can enter text, e.g., when composing a new text message in the Messages app.
  2. Tap a key on the Samsung qwerty keyboard and you'll see the character(letter/number/symbol) of the key in a big bubble.
