By default, your Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge will automatically use the fast charging feature if you charge your phone's battery with the provided USB cable and the adaptive fast charging, makes the battery can be charged with more quickly in condition that your phone or its screen is turned off. However, if you have updated your phone to
Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, you'll have an option that can be used to enable or disable the fast cable charging feature. If this feature is enabled, you can charge the battery with more quickly with the fast charging feature. While, if this feature is disabled, standard charging will be used instead.
How to enable or disable the fast cable charging feature?
You can do so by using the following steps:
- On any screen, swipe down the top of the screen to open up the notification panel and then tap to go to the settings menu.
- Scroll the screen to the very bottom and then tap Battery.
- Scroll the screen to the very bottom. Depending on your current setting, tap the ON/OFF switch next to Fast cable charging to enable or disable it. When the switch turns blue means the fast cable charging feature is enabled and you can charge your phone's battery with more quickly while your phone or its screen is turned off.
