By default, the fast cable charging feature in Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge is enabled to allow you charge the battery of your phone using a USB cable with more quickly, in condition that you're using the component and charger that support with fast charging feature as well as the phone or its screen is turned off. However, when needed you can disable this feature if you want to use the standard cable charging feature so your phone won't be hotter while it's being charged.

You can turn on or off this feature by using the following steps:
  1. On any screen, swipe down the top of the screen to open up the notification panel and then tap to go to the settings menu.
  2. Scroll the screen to the very bottom and then tap Battery.
  3. Scroll the screen to the very bottom and then tap the ON/OFF switch next to Fast cable charging to enable or disable it. When the switch turns blue , means the fast cable charging feature is enabled.
