How to configure briefing alarm?
Below are steps you need to do to set up briefing alarm on your Galaxy SIII:
  1. Go to Apps through Home screen.
  2. Tap Clock.
  3. Tap Alarm tab.
  4. Create new briefing alarm by tapping the (+) sign.
  5. Set the time and day as your wish.
  6. Tap Alarm type.
  7. On pop up menu select Briefing.
  8. Tap OK button in an information window.
  9. In the News widget settings, you can select the country and category of the news as your wish.
  10. Once you've finished, tap Back button to return to the create alarm screen.
  11. Tap Briefing content.
  12. On pop up menu, check all boxes next to the option (Weather, Today's schedule and News).
  13. Tap Save button to save your briefing alarm.
  14. Tap Home button to return to the standby mode

How to customize LED indicator?

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Under Device section, tap Display.
  3. Under General section, tap LED indicator.

    • Charging: enable this option if you wish the LED to light when your phone is connected to charger.
    • Low battery: enable this option if you wish the LED to light when battery level is low.
    • Notifications: enable this option if you wish the LED to light when you have missed calls, messages or application events.
    • Voice recording: enable this option if you wish the LED to light when you're recording voice.
  5. Tap the required options you wish to use. When the checkbox next to the option is ticked means the option is enabled.
  6. Tap Home button to return to the standby mode.

For the record, the LED will only light up when the screen is off. So, by knowing how to enable or disable the option available under LED indicator option, now you can set the LED to light up on the conditions you wants.

Samsung Galaxy S3: How to Join Group Cast

If you want to share document or any file in real time, then there is a feature in Samsung Galaxy SIII called Group Cast which will allow you to do that. To use this feature you need to connect to the Wi-Fi network and have a Samsung account. Once you have two that things, now you're ready to start share using Group Cast.

How to join Group Cast?

  1. On the other Samsung Android device, launch AllShare Play from the  app drawer.
  2. Sign in with the Samsung account associated with the device.
  3. Select the device you wish to use.
  4. Tap the Menu key.
  5. On pop up menu select Join Group Cast.
  6. Tap OK button in the notifications windows.
  7. Now you'll see a list of available Group Cast listed by device name.
  8. Tap the device you wish to connect with the Group Cast.
  9. Enter the same PIN that was entered on the device that share the document, then tap Done button.
  10. Finish. You will now be joined to the selected Group Cast.

By knowing how to join Group cast, now you can also view the content of the document or files being share from the host device. If the host sharing a presentation, then you'll see the contents slide as they are navigated on the host device.

In order to make you be able to share the document or file with another Samsung Android device with All Share Play capability, first you need to connect your Samsung Galaxy SIII to the Wi-Fi network.

How to share document or file using Group Cast?
One of the feature inside All Share Play is a Group Cast. This features will allow you to share Powerpoints, PDF, document and image with anyone whose connected in the same Wifi network with All Share enabled device. Well, kindly follow the steps listed below to do so:
  1. Go to Apps through Home screen.
  2. Tap AllShare Play.
  3. If this your first time, you'll be prompted to read user agreement and follow the instructions to continue.
  4. Sign in using your Samsung account. Now your registered device will be listed.
  5. Tap the icon of your device, your files stored on the device will be displayed.
  6. Select the item you wish to share.
  7. Tap the Menu key, then on pop up menu select Share.
  8. On the next pop up menu select Group Cast.
  9. Tap OK button in the Notification windows.
  10. Enter a PIN that will used by others to join the Group Cast, then tap Done button.
  11. Finish. Now you're ready to begin the Group Cast and ask others to join.

By knowing how to use Group Cast, now you can share document or any files in real time with other Samsung Android device which is connected in the same Wi-Fi network and have All Share enabled device.

Samsung Galaxy S3: How to Remove SMS Entries from Call History Logs Temporarily

There are so many ways that you can do to free up the phone's storage. One of the little thing to do to free up your Samsung Galaxy SIII storage is by deleting one, multiple or all call history logs.

  1. Go to Apps through Home screen.
  2. Tap Phone.
  3. Tap Logs tab.
  4. Tap the Menu key.
  5. On pop up menu select View by.
  6. On the next pop up menu, you will see 3 options available. They are:
    • All logs: to view both calls and SMS entries.
    • All calls: to view only call logs.
    • Missed calls: to view missed call logs only.
  7. Tap All calls to view only the call logs.
  8. Finish. Now the phone logs will only viewing call logs and hiding SMS entries from there.

As a note, the step mentioned above only work temporarily, once you exit from the Phone apps using Back button or Home button, the phone call logs will be back to default and viewing both calls and SMS entries.

Samsung Galaxy S3: How to Replace Icon on Home Screen Dock with Icon from App Drawer

Once you've deleted one or more icon on your Home screen dock, then it will be a blank spot that you can use to add new icon you wish to use to displayed there. If the apps you want to add to the dock is already on your Home screen, then you can add it to the bottom dock with ease.

  1. Go to Apps through Home screen.
  2. Find the required apps you wish to move to the Home screen.
  3. Tap and hold the icon, then drag it to an available spot on your Home screen.
  4. Release to placed it.
  5. Now you can drag it downward to the blank spot available on the bottom dock.
  6. Release the icon to placed it.
  7. Finish. Now the new icon from app drawer will reside in the dock.
