Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge: How to Enable and Use Smart Alert Feature in Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow

Smart alert is a feature in Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge that will let you set your phone to vibrate when you pick it up to notify you about missed calls and messages. This feature will help to remind you to check those notifications as soon as you pick up your phone so you won't miss any important one and can quickly do the required action, e.g., call back the call or reply the message.

How to enable or disable the smart alert feature?
You can do so by using the following steps:
  1. On any screen, swipe down the top of the screen to open up the notification panel and then tap to go to the settings menu.
  2. Scroll down the screen to find Advanced features and then tap it.
  3. Scroll down the screen and then tap Smart alert.
  4. Depending on your current settings, tap the ON/OFF switch to enable or disable the smart alert feature. When the switch turns blue , means the smart alert feature is enabled.

How to use the smart alert feature?
After you use your phone then put it down, the screen will automatically turn off after the screen timeout delay is over. When the smart alert feature is enabled, your phone will vibrate when you pick it up to notify you when you have missed call or message notifications.
