How to enable the auto check spelling feature?
As the example, we'll turn on this feature when English(UK) is set as the input language by using the following steps:
- On any screen, swipe down the top of the screen to open up the notification panel and then at the top right to go to the settings menu.
- Scroll down to the System section and then tap Language and input.
- Tap Samsung keyboard. Alternatively, when you're entering text using Samsung keyboard, you can quickly go to the Samsung keyboard settings menu by long tapping the key in the left side of the space bar and then select .
- Tap Auto check spelling.
- Slide the ON/OFF switch to the right to enable the auto check spelling feature. The switch turns green when it's enabled.
- Slide the ON/OFF switch next to English(UK) to enable the auto check spelling feature for this language. The switch turns green when it's enabled.
- The auto check spelling feature for English(UK) has been enabled.
How to use the auto check spelling feature?
You can use the following steps as the example of using this feature:
- Go to the app or screen where you can enter text, e.g., while composing a new text message.
- As you type the message, your phone will underline misspelled words in red.
- Tap an underlined word to see the list of suggested words and then tap the required one to correct or replace the misspelled word.
