Samsung Galaxy S5: How to Edit or Remove a Name Tag in a Photo in Android 4.4.2 Kitkat

Face tag is a neat feature that can be found in the stock Gallery app which will let you to tag a name or a contact to the detected face in a photo. However, in case you have accidentally tagged a wrong contact to a face within a photo then you can correct it by editing the name tag so that you can tag the right contact to the face. If needed, you can also remove the name tag from the face with ease.


How to edit or remove a name tag in a photo?
You can do so by using the following steps:
  1. Open Gallery app.
  2. Tap an album and then tap the required photo.
  3. Tap the name tag and then tap .
  4. Editing a name tag:
    • Tap Edit tag.
    • Select the required contact you want to tag to the selected face.
    • If you'd like to set the face as the caller ID of the selected contact, tap OK button and then follow the on-screen instructions. If not, you can tap Cancel button.
    • The selected contact has been tagged to the face.
  5. Removing a name tag:
    • Tap Remove name tag.
    • The name tag of the selected face has been removed.
