Hi all of the insiders, first of all I want to tell you that I finally get my brand new Samsung Galaxy SIV and I'll share everything about this phone with all of you. As we all know that this phone is the next generation of the Samsung Galaxy SIII that was released earlier this year and brings lot of advanced features to pampers the user. The first thing that I'll share with you about this phone is how to use this phone to capture what's displayed on the screen or we used to named it as screenshot. Best use this option when you want to share what's on your screen with others through the picture. I first use this option to screenshot my Home screen to share it with my friends through the social media.

How to take a screenshot?
Generally, you can take a screenshot in this phone by using one of the methods as described below:
Method #1: By using the physical button
You can take the screenshot by pressing the Power key and the Home key simultaneously until you hear the shutter sound as a sign that the screen has been captured. The screenshot will be saved in the Pictures/Screenshots/ in your internal storage or you can also see the result through the Gallery app in the screenshot album.

Method #2: Using Palm motion
To take a screenshot using this method, you need to activate the motion and gestures first as listed below:
  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Tap My device tab.
  3. Scroll down to find Motions and gestures, then tap it.
  4. If necessary, enable Palm motion by sliding the switch next this option to the right.
  5. Tap Palm motion to access the menu.
  6. Slide the switch next to Capture screen option to the right to enable this option. When the switch shows green means this option is turned on.
  7. Now, you're ready to take screenshot by swiping the side of your hand across the screen, either from the right to the left or vice versa.
  8. The screenshot will be saved in the Pictures/Screenshots/ in your internal storage or you can also see the result through the Gallery app in the screenshot album.

These are two methods that you can do to take screenshot in the Samsung Galaxy SIV. Each of them has their own advantage and disadvantage. If you don't want to set some settings, then you can use the first method, while if you like the simplicity then you can use the second method. So, hope this helps :)

Samsung Galaxy S3: How to Make a Music File Can't be Played by the Music Player App

An insider named Laurie has leave her comment here and asked me about the step to keep certain song from not playing without having to delete them. She said that she has a Christmas song and don't want it to be played back when she listen to the music through the Music Player app because the Christmas is over. Fortunately, in Android-based smartphone including with the Samsung Galaxy SIII, the user can be easily to do so by adding certain extension in the end of the music file name in order to disable media scanning so the Music Player app can't read it.

Generally, you can do so by using another third-party File Manager apps. But, we'll use the ES File Explorer app in this step. Well, here are the steps:
  1. Open ES File Explorer app.
  2. Navigate to the folder where the music file you wants to rename is saved.

  4. Tap Rename button.
  5. Add .nomedia behind the music file name. For example: rename your_song_title.mp3 became your_song_title.mp3.nomedia
This extension will prevent this music file from being scanned and loaded by the Music Player app.
  6. Tap OK button to save the change
  7. Done. Now, the music file you've just renamed should not be listed in the Music Player app.

For the record, this steps is only renaming the music files, so next time whenever you want this music file be played back again in the Music Player app, you just need to remove .nomedia from the music file name using the same steps. Once done, in a few seconds, the Music Player will be able to read and plays it back. So, hope this helps :)
