How to make Music Player app doesn't read certain music file?
Generally, you can do so by using another third-party File Manager apps. But, we'll use the ES File Explorer app in this step. Well, here are the steps:
- Open ES File Explorer app.
- Navigate to the folder where the music file you wants to rename is saved.
- Long tap the required music file to select it.
- Tap Rename button.
- Add .nomedia behind the music file name. For example: rename your_song_title.mp3 became your_song_title.mp3.nomedia
This extension will prevent this music file from being scanned and loaded by the Music Player app. - Tap OK button to save the change
- Done. Now, the music file you've just renamed should not be listed in the Music Player app.
For the record, this steps is only renaming the music files, so next time whenever you want this music file be played back again in the Music Player app, you just need to remove .nomedia from the music file name using the same steps. Once done, in a few seconds, the Music Player will be able to read and plays it back. So, hope this helps :)
