Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge: How to Take 3D Self-Portrait Photos with Virtual Shot Mode in Camera App in Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow

If you're the one who like to take a photo of yourself but bored with the old flat selfie, you can use the virtual shot mode in the Camera app in Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge to take a 3D selfie with the front camera so you can show yourself in 3D or 180 degree panorama of your surroundings. When you take a photo with this mode, the camera will take a series of photos while you're circling your phone around yourself to create multi-directional views of yourself. You can use this mode when you want to show others about your new look in different angles, where you are, what surroundings look like, etc.

How to take a 3D selfie with the virtual mode in the Camera app?
You can do so by using the following steps:
  1. Open the Camera app. By default, it uses the rear camera.
  2. Tap to switch the camera from the rear to the front.
  3. Tap Mode and then select Virtual shot to enable this mode.
  4. Face the front camera lens. Make sure your face is not too close with the camera and gets enough lighting so that it can easily be detected.
  5. Tap to start taking a 3D selfie with virtual shot mode and then move your phone around you slowly in one direction(to left or right).
  6. Keep moving your phone around you while keeping your position centered on the screen until the arrow becomes completely yellow and then your phone will automatically save the photo. Or, you can also manually stop the camera from taking the photo whenever you want by tapping .
  7. Once done, tap the preview thumbnail to view the photo in the Gallery app.
  8. To view your 3D selfie, tap in the middle of the photo to have your phone rotates all around the image. If you'd like to view yourself from different angles, drag your finger left or right on the screen, or tilt your phone left or right.
