Samsung Galaxy S4: How to Use Camera App to Take Pictures in Android 4.4 Kitkat

Aside from being used to communicate with others, taking pictures using the phone is one of the most frequently done activities by the users therefore no wonder if how well the camera performance to take pictures becomes the users considerations when they want to buy a smartphone. To meet that need, Samsung Galaxy SIV has pinned 13MP rear camera and 2MP front camera as well as provided the Camera app as one of the stock apps so that the user can take a picture directly without having to install any app first.



How to take a picture using the Camera app?
Below are the steps to do so:
  1. Open the Camera app.
  2. While you're in the Camera app, you can use the following options:
    • : Tap this option to switch between the front and rear camera. The Camera app uses the rear camera by default.
    • : Tap this option to switch between the single and dual camera mode. The Camera app uses the single camera mode by default.
    • : Tap this option to view more options(e.g: Settings, Flash, Auto night detection, etc).
    • : This option indicates which shooting mode is in use. The Camera app uses Auto as its shooting mode by default.
    • : Tap this option to record a video.
    • : Tap this option to take a picture.
    • : Tap this option to change the shooting mode(e.g: Auto, Drama, Panorama, Best photo, etc). The Camera app uses auto as its shooting mode by default.
    • : Tap this option to view and select among various photo effects (e.g: No effect, Vignette, Grey-scale, Sepia, etc). The Camera app uses no effect by default.
    • : Tap this option to view photos and videos in the Gallery app.
  3. If necessary, you can zoom in or zoom out before taking a picture, either using the Volume key or pinch-to-zoom gesture.
  4. By default the Camera app focuses in the middle of the screen but you can change the focus manually by tapping the screen where the camera should focus. When the focus frame shows green means the focus has been locked.
  5. Tap the camera key to take a photo.

With the support of the advanced camera and set of useful features owned by the Camera app, now you can capture a moment anywhere and anytime you want into a qualified picture with ease by using your phone.
