Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge: How to Create a Photo Collage in Gallery App in Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow

If you have updated your Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge to Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, you'll be provided with a new feature in the Gallery app that will let you put some photos together to create a beautiful photo collage so you don't have to install any third-party app when you want to create a photo collage.


How to create a photo collage in the Gallery app?
You can do so by using the following steps:
  1. Open the Gallery app.
  2. Tap an album where photos you want to collage are saved in.
  3. Tap More at the top right and then select Collage.
  4. Select the required photos you want to collage and then tap Collage at the top right.
  5. If you'd like to add more photos to your photo collage, tap Add and then select photos you want to add.
  6. If needed, you can change the aspect ratio of your photo collage by tapping Aspect ratio and then select 1:1(it's selected by default) or 9:16.
  7. If needed, you can change the layout of your photo collage by tapping Layout and then select the required layout you want to use. Alternatively, you can do so by tapping Shuffle.
  8. If needed, you can change the border of your photo collage by tapping Border . Slide the adjustment bar next to to the left or right to adjust the corners curvature of the selected cell(slide the bar to the right to get more rounded corner). Slide the adjustment bar next to to the left or right to adjust the space between cells of your photo collage.
  9. If needed, you can change the background of your photo collage by tapping Background and then select the required background you want to use.
  10. To rearrange photos within your photo collage without changing the layout, tap and hold a photo in a cell and then drag it to other cell.
  11. If needed, you can do some changes for each photo within your photo collage by tapping the required cell and then use available options:
    • : tap this option to change the photo in the selected cell with other photo.
    • : tap this option to delete the selected cell.
    • : tap this option to apply an effect to the photo in the selected cell.
    • : tap this option to make some adjustments to the photo in the selected cell, e.g., rotate the photo, flip the photo horizontally or vertically, and change the photo ratio.
  12. If you're satisfied with the result, tap Save button to save your photo collage. The result will be saved in the Photo editor album.

Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge: How to Create a Photo Animation in Gallery App in Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow

If you have updated your Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge to Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, you'll have some new features, one of which is a feature in the Gallery app that will let you turn your photos into a gif animated photo.


How to create a photo animation in the Gallery app?
You can do so by using the following steps:
  1. Open the Gallery app.
  2. Tap an album where photos you want to turn into an animated photo are saved in.
  3. Tap More at the top right and then select Animate.
  4. Select the required photos you want to animate with and then tap Animate.
  5. If needed, you can do the following changes to your animated photo:
    • To remove a photo from your animated photo, tap .
    • To add more photos to your animated photo, tap and then select the required photos you want to add.
    • To rearrange photos within your animated photo, drag and drop photos.
    Once done, tap Done button to save the changes.
  6. By default, your phone will use default ratio for your animated photo. But, you can change it when needed by tapping Ratio and then select the required ratio you want to use. There are 6 options available: (it's the default ratio and selected by default),1:1,4:3,3:4,16:9,9:16.
  7. If needed, you can adjust the speed of your animated photo by tapping Speed and then select the required speed you want to use.
  8. Tap Save button to save your photo animation. The result will be saved as .gif in the Photo editor album.

Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge: How to Disable Number Keys Feature in Samsung Keyboard in Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow

By default, the Samsung qwerty keyboard in your Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge displays the number keys on the different row above the letter keys. However, if you want to get more space for the text field when entering text and your phone is running with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, you can disable the number keys so that these keys will be placed on the same row with the "qwerty" keys on the keyboard.


How to disable the number keys feature in the Samsung keyboard?
As the example, we'll turn off this feature by using two different methods: from the settings menu and from any screen where you can enter text.

Method #1: From the settings menu
  1. On any screen, swipe down the top of the screen to open up the notification panel and then tap to go to the settings menu.
  2. Scroll down the screen to find Language and input and then tap it.
  3. Tap Samsung keyboard.
  4. Scroll down the screen to the Customisation section and then slide the ON/OFF switch next to Number keys to the left to disable it. The switch turns gray when it's disabled.
  5. Now, the number keys will be placed on the top letter row of the keyboard and you have to long tap the key where the required number is placed in to enter the number. As the example, if you want to enter number "1", then you have to long tap the "q" key.

Method #2: From any screen where you can enter text
  1. On the Samsung keyboard, tap the key in the left side of the space bar and then tap to go to the Samsung keyboard settings.
  2. Scroll down the screen to the Customisation section and then slide the ON/OFF switch next to Number keys to the left to disable it. The switch turns gray when it's disabled.

By default, your Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge will automatically use the fast charging feature if you charge your phone's battery with the provided USB cable and the adaptive fast charging, makes the battery can be charged with more quickly in condition that your phone or its screen is turned off. However, if you have updated your phone to Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, you'll have an option that can be used to enable or disable the fast cable charging feature. If this feature is enabled, you can charge the battery with more quickly with the fast charging feature. While, if this feature is disabled, standard charging will be used instead.


How to enable or disable the fast cable charging feature?
You can do so by using the following steps:
  1. On any screen, swipe down the top of the screen to open up the notification panel and then tap to go to the settings menu.
  2. Scroll the screen to the very bottom and then tap Battery.
  3. Scroll the screen to the very bottom. Depending on your current setting, tap the ON/OFF switch next to Fast cable charging to enable or disable it. When the switch turns blue means the fast cable charging feature is enabled and you can charge your phone's battery with more quickly while your phone or its screen is turned off.
