Before taking a photo using the selective focus mode, you have to fill the following conditions so you can get the best result:
- Position the object you want to focus on close to your phone and make sure it's placed between 10-50cm from the phone.
- Make sure there's a sufficient distance between the object and the background or at least 3 times the distance between the object and your phone. As the example, if you place the object 20cm from your phone, then the distance between your phone and the background at least 60cm.
- Avoid taking photos with the background that can't be distinguished from the object, e.g., plain-coloured walls, the background that has no pattern, etc.
- Make sure to take a photo in a well lit environment and there's no strong light behind the object so that the camera can easily distinguish between the object and the background.
