In addition to change the temperature unit, in this widget you can also determine how often the widget to refresh the information. There are several auto refresh option that you can choose which best suit you.
How to change weather widget auto refresh?
Below are the steps you need to do to determine the frequency of the weather widget updating the information:
- Tap the Weather widget on your Home screen.
- Tap the Menu key then select Settings.
- Tap Widgets.
- Tap Auto refresh.
- Now you'll see some option available on pop up menu, they are:
- None
- Every 1 hour: choose this option to make your weather widget refreshing the information for every one hour.
- Every 3 hours: choose this option to make your weather widget refreshing the information for every 3 hours.
- Every 6 hours: choose this option to make your weather widget refreshing the information for every 6 hours.
- Every 12 hours: choose this option to make your weather widget refreshing the information for every 12 hours.
- Every 24 hours: choose this option to make your weather widget refreshing the information for every 24 hours.
- Tap the required auto refresh option you wish to use. When the dot indicator next the option shows green means the option is selected.
- Tap Home button to return to the standby mode.
FYI, you can also manually refresh the weather widget by tapping the auto refresh icon located at the bottom right corner of this widget. Also, you should remember that the frequency of auto refresh weather widget may cost some data plan. In other words, more shorter the auto refresh frequency means more data will be used.
