Samsung Galaxy S8: How to Use Fingerprints when Purchasing Items on Samsung Services in Android 7.0 Nougat

When you have registered fingerprints in your Samsung Galaxy S8, you can use it as an alternative way to confirm your identity when purchasing items on Samsung services instead of your Samsung account password. It's simple and easy because you just need to place a finger that you have registered before on the sensor. No more entering wrong password issue especially if yours is a complicated one.

How to use fingerprints when purchasing items on Samsung services?
Assuming that you have an Internet connection, you can do so by using the following steps:
  1. On any screen, swipe down the top of the screen to open up the notification panel and then tap to go to the settings menu.
  2. Tap Lock screen and security.
  3. Tap Fingerprint scanner.
  4. Perform your current screen lock to confirm your identity. As the example, if your current screen lock type is set to pattern, draw your pattern to confirm your identity.
  5. Tap Samsung account.
  6. Enter your Samsung account password and then tap Confirm button.
If you have entered the right password, the ON/OFF switch next to the Samsung account option will turn blue as a sign that it's enabled.
  7. Now, you can use fingerprints instead of your Samsung account password when logging in with your Samsung account. As the example, when you purchase an item(app, game, watch face, etc) in the Galaxy Apps or an item(wallpaper, theme, icon, or AOD) in the Samsung themes store, you can use your fingerprints to confirm your identity instead of entering your Samsung account password.
