When this feature is enabled, your phone will launch a screensaver, e.g., photos in your phone and/or Google account, colour change effects, etc., when your phone is charging or docked without turning off your phone. You can use this feature when you want your phone displays something more attractive than the default black screen when your phone is charging or docked.

How to setup the screensaver feature?
You can do so by using the following steps:
  1. On any screen, swipe down the top of the screen to open up the notification panel and then tap to go to the settings menu.
  2. Scroll down the screen to find Display and then tap it.
  3. Scroll the screen to the very bottom and then tap Screensaver.
  4. If the screensaver is off, tap the ON/OFF switch to turn it on. The switch turns blue when it's enabled.
  5. Now select the desired screensaver you want to use from the following options:
    • Colors: select this option to have your phone displays the colors change effect as the screensaver.

    • Photos: select this option to have your phone displays a slideshow of photos in your phone and/or Google account. If needed, you can manually select which photos you want to display as the screensaver by tapping and then select the required Google account and photo albums in your phone.
  6. If needed, you can preview the selected screensaver by tapping More at the top right and then select Preview.
  7. If needed, you can select the time when the selected screensaver should be activated by using these steps:
    • Tap More at the top right and then select Select when to use.
    • Now, select from the following options: While docked, While charging (either cable or wireless charging), or Both (while docked and charging).

How to use the screensaver feature?
As the example, we'll use this feature when charging Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge with a wireless charger by using the following steps:
  1. Without turning off your phone, charge it with a wireless charger.
  2. When the screen timeout period is over, the screen will be turned off and your phone will display the selected screensaver.
