Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge: How to Import .VCF Files to the Contacts List in Android 5.1.1 Lollipop

There are some reason you might need to import .vcf files to your contacts list in your Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, e.g: when you receive .vcf files from other devices and want to add contacts within these files to your contacts list, when you had exported your own contacts list to a .vcf file and want to import your contacts back to your phone, etc.

How to import .vcf files to the contacts list?
As the example, we'll try importing some .vcf files to the contacts list by using the following steps:
  1. Open Contacts app.
  2. Tap More at the top right corner of the screen and then select Settings.
  3. Tap Import/Export contacts.
  4. Tap Import button.
  5. Tap the required storage location you want to use to save the contacts within .vcf files. As the example, if you select Device then the contacts within .vcf files will be saved to your phone's memory.
  6. All .vcf files in your phone will be displayed here.
  7. Now, select the required .vcf files you want to import and then tap Done button to start importing the selected .vcf files to your contacts list.
  8. The selected .vcf files will be imported to your contacts list.

    1. Hi Jean,
      Thanks for coming.
Try sending that contact to your friend via Bluetooth by using the following steps:
      1. Open Contacts app.
      2. Tap the required contact you want to send.
      3. Tap "More" at the top right and then select "Share name card".
      4. Select "Bluetooth" .
      5. Tap your phone's friend name.
      6. The selected contact will be sent to your friend's phone. Once he accepts the transfer file request, your phone will continue sending the file.

Open My Files app and then tap "Download history". Here, you can find all files that you've received with Bluetooth.
