There are some reason you might want to export your contacts list in your Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge as .vcf file, e.g: when you want to backup your contacts list so when you lost them you can easily retrieve them back to your phone by importing that .vcf file, when you want to transfer your contacts list to other devices, etc.

How to export contacts list as .vcf file?
You can do so by using the following steps:
  1. Open Contacts app.
  2. Tap More at the top right and then select Settings.
  3. Tap Import/Export contacts.
  4. Tap Export button.
  5. Tap Device storage to save .vcf file to your phone's storage.
  6. All contacts saved in the device storage will be exported to the internal storage of your phone as .vcf file.
