How to enable or disable the smart stay feature?
You can turn on or off this feature by using the following steps:
- On any screen, swipe down the top of the screen to open up the notification panel and then tap to go to the settings menu.
- Scroll down the screen to find Display and then tap it.
- Tap Smart stay.
- Depending on your current settings, tap the ON/OFF switch to enable or disable the smart stay feature. When the switch turns blue , means this feature is enabled.
Before using the smart stay feature, you have to know that this feature works best when the following conditions are filled:
- When your phone is held steady and upright.
- When your phone is in a well-lit environment, but the screen is not in direct light so that the front camera can easily detect your face.
- When the front camera is not being used by other apps.
How to use the smart stay feature?
As the example, we'll use the smart stay feature when reading a long post in a webpage by using the following steps:
- Open the Internet app and then open a webpage to read an article.
- While you're reading the article on the webpage, the front camera will check your face each time the screen timeout period is over. If the front camera detects your face, the screen will stay on. If not, the screen will be turned off.
