The Music app in Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge has 7 tabs that are enabled by default and used to sort your music collection by certain category, e.g., by playlists, by albums, by folders, by artists, etc. As the example, you can access your music collection through the playlists tab when you want to listen to the music within a playlist you have made before. If needed, you can choose to enable only the required tabs to simplify the app looks or rearrange the order of the tabs for easier access to your music collection.


How to customise tabs in the Music app?
You can do so by using the following steps:
  1. Open the Music app.
  2. Tap More at the top right and then select Settings.
  3. Tap Tabs to view all tabs. There are 7 tabs available: Playlists, Tracks, Albums, Artists, Genres, Folders, and Composers.
  4. To enable or disable tabs, check or uncheck the box in the left side of the required tab to enable or disable it. When the box is checked, means the tab is enabled and will be displayed in the Music app.
    As a note, the playlists tab and the tracks tab cannot be disabled.
  5. To change the order of tabs, tap and hold next to the required tab and then drag it to required position. For easier access, you can place the frequently used tabs in the top 4 position.

You can do so by using the following steps:
  1. Open the Music app.

  3. Tap Music auto off and then select from the following options:
    • Never: this option is enabled by default. If you select it, your phone will not stop playing the playback until you turn it off manually.
    • After 15 minutes
    • After 30 minutes
    • After 1 hour
    • After 1 hour 30 minutes
    • After 2 hours
    • Custom: select this option if you want to set your own timer. You just need to set the time and then tap Done button to save and apply your customized timer.
  4. The music auto off timer has been adjusted. As the example, if you set the timer to after 1 hour, your phone will automatically stop music from auto-playing after 1 hour.

Music app in Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge has a feature named smart volume which will let you set your phone to automatically adjust the volume of all tracks to an equal level with the volume of the current playback. You can use this feature if your music files are come from different sources and/or have different sound qualities which make them sound louder or quieter than the current playback.


How to enable the smart volume feature in the Music app?
You can turn on this feature by using the following steps:
  1. Open the Music app.
  2. Tap More at the top right and then select Settings.
  3. Tap the ON/OFF switch next to Smart volume to enable or disable this option. The switch turns when it's enabled.
  4. When the smart volume feature is enabled, the Music app will automatically adjust the volume of all tracks to an equal level with the volume of the current playback. As the example, if the volume of the current playback is set to 30%, then the volume of other tracks will automatically be adjusted to 30%.
